The perfect pub for a Sunday lunch, catch up with friends or a swift drink! The food is always excellent, the fire is nearly always alight and the atmosphere is friendly and so welcoming! Highly recommend visiting this gem.

Beautiful 600 year old pub in picturesque setting.   Very friendly helpful staff.   Had dinner and stayed here on our anniversary.  We were upgraded to the nicest room.   Dinner was very nice.  I had the chicken fajitas and my hudband had the pork belly.   Chocolate brownie dessert was amazing.  Good selection of wines and prices are reasonable.

Top pub, located in centre of picturesque village of Sonning. Venison casserole with herby dumplings was worthy of a Michelin star. The pint of Fullers Front Row was refreshing and full of flavour. Atmospheric beams and fire. Staff welcoming, they made big fuss of our dog, giving him biscuits and attention. Highly recommended

The food is good with big portion sizes and live music adds to the charm.
