Excellent display of over 300 varieties of roses . Well maintained with many mature trees- a guide is available online. The children's farm is very good to take young children to for a close up of animals there. The only disappointment is the large empty glasshouse. A great use would be as a winter garden with a cafe.
Absolutely gorgeous park , must visit in Summers if you live in East end. Nearby you can find Tollcross International Swimming pool which is also amazing. The park has also a wish tree, which me and my wife have visited and wished for which came true for us. Mostly we saw people with dogs.
Lovely park, a bit too many unleashed dogs without recall but there are some quieter areas of the park where to enjoy a pleasant walk.
Quite a big park and lots and lots of walking involves. I think if you leave the farm and walk round the back somewhere there are fields of sheep, but due to no clear signs or anything we only found out about it once out of the park. The greenhouse is closed and did not see any cafes or other facilities in the park. After walking for miles saw some teeny tiny playground for the young ones. I find it a bit shocking to say the least for such a big park offering such a miniature kids playground. Did not see any picnic tables either. On a plus sign this park offers lots of space for dog walkers. And there is The Tollcross International Swimming Centre with free parking.
Rose garden is simply divine including fragrance
Largest park in Glasgow. Well maintained. Beautiful views. Great for summer picnics. To see the roses in June and July is a must. The most amazing display. Also, look at the new glasshouse which was fully restored in 2022. Now it needs plants inside! June 2024 and the roses are out and will be better in a couple of weeks. The new glasshouse is still empty Picnic area: Tables with built-in seats mean we can picnic here.
Gorgeous woodland and flower beds amongst loads of green area for dogs to play. Very enjoyable and only 6 stops from Glasgow Cross.
A wonderful park. There are many varieties of roses planted as petals of a large rose. Linden avenues. Many benches for rest. A fairy house. Clean, neat and uncrowded. I really liked. I recommend
Lovely wee park in the east end of Glasgow well maintained Kids liked it It has lovely beds of flowers in the summer Great for a wee family walk Or for kids to explore
Great for dog walking when not too busy lovely rose garden
