Came here for my 'Q' parkrun. Amazing volunteers and a beautiful hilly location for a run with great views from the flagpole at the top. Lovely little church on the corner did tea coffee and cake for all the runners too!
One of Glasgow Southside's all-important green lungs. Perfect for a short walk with the dog, a few friends, or on your own. Make sure to climb the hill in the middle of the park for some lovely views over the city. I am only giving it 4 stars as it is not a safe park at night. No lighting what so ever.
Great park with different areas. You have the ponds, amphitheatre and hill, greenhouse, and wooded walks. Can get pretty busy so recommend keeping your dog on lead if they aren't 100% reliable with recall. Playground: Near the large pond, gated. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome in all parts of the park aside from inside the greenhouse.
Nice green lawn, lots of paths to walk along. Duck pond was dirty but I wasn't swimming in it. Lots of ducks, two swans, seagulls and pigeons. Friendly little restaurant in the park. A few benches to sit along the way.
Beautiful park with a great view from the top of the hill. Great location - next to plenty of shops and amenities and transport links. There are no overhead streetlights, but a route through the park is lit up at night with spots on the floor.
Lovely local park in the Southside of Glasgow with pond, gardens, play parks, tennis courts and walks. Watch squirrels, ducks and swans. Top tip walk up to the flagpole for fantastic views over the city. Brilliant in every season. Sunbathing and picnics in summer. Blow the cobwebs away in winter. There’s a permanent coffee van too.
Discover one of Glasgow's most enchanting parks, a beloved haven for nature lovers and seekers of tranquility. This picturesque park boasts beautiful trees, colorful blooms, and inviting benches. It offers manageable paths for those with limited mobility, ensuring a comfortable experience. Whether you wish to meditate, enjoy a leisurely stroll, or simply bask in the sun, this park is a must-visit. Experience the beauty and serenity of Glasgow's finest green retreat.
Great park for foraging for food! large area to walk through, not too busy, and some great views of the city. Can park outside the entrance which makes for easy travel
Had a stroll around the park on a Sunday afternoon. It's a shame where you can see flower beds and other areas overgrown and broken...which highlights the cut backs the parks dept is under funded & manned. Otherwise still the park I have been visiting for years.
A wonderful place to walk, run or rest. Feed the ducks, watch the pigeons or enjoy the swans. Lots of space for kids in the play area and huge grass areas for picnics
