Tinto Hotel is a family run country house hotel located in the beautiful village of Symington, nr Biggar. Built in 1914 at the start of the First World War, the Hotel is full of olde world charm and authenticity.

Nice older style hotel with a lovely central staircase. Lovely home cooked food at a reasonable price and all served on hot plates, where appropriate, and great portion size. The room we were allocated was clean and the bed comfortable, with a new carpet having been recently fitted. The only downside in our too was the bathroom, with only a heated towel rail and single glazed window the temperature was not perfect, some refurbishment required in the bathroom required as the shower was a bit passed its best and just functional but it was all clean. We had no problems with service from any of the staff and Lynne was very pleasant and helpful thought our stay.

Excellent Hotel. Great food and room was lovely. Entertainment at the tribute night was great too. Highly recommend this hotel

The hotel is lovely and the staff are really friendly. The hotel has been refurbished since the last time I was there which was 2015. I was there for a tribute night and over night stay. The meal was lovely and our breakfast was first class. We all had a great time. The room was lovely. We had a triple room and it was spacious.

Very freindly staff however hotel very dated needs new beds or at th least new mattresses as hard and uncomfterbale with spring almost through . The food was good the entertainment fair would i stay again NO is the answer as no sleep cold due to useing the very thin quilt to lie on so had no covers x small radiator under drafty window not good

Hotel just ok. Rooms need updating, food good. Entertainment not so good, it was Michael buble tribute. Wouldn't rush back.
