Some things were good- the beetroot and Brie tart probably the best. The burger was good and the onion rings excellent. However, the wine list was not a description of the wine supplied and the prawn wontons were horrible.nStaff did their best to sort out what they could.
A very nice dog friendly pub. The food is affordable and delicious. I had Cheese Chilli Fries, which was supposed to be a side but could have been the main dish by its own! Highly recommend!
Extremely disappointed with staff attitude and service.nnWe visited having eaten here a few times before and arrived on the off chance with no bookingnnAfter checking through the booking system we were informed that were no tables available for my wife and I for at least 2hrs - fair enough. However the staff then immediately seated 2men behind us in the queue who also didn't have a reservation, telling them they were lucky to get the last table.nAs I turned to question the staff member who had served me, she just shrugged her shoulders at me in a 'tough, I don't care' manner.nExtremely rude, arrogant and ignorant.
Always get a great meal in here and at a great price. Staff are lovely and the setting is really good. The fire is lit on colder days which adds to the ambience. Well done to the team you've got it so right.
Popped in for Sunday Carvery. Staff were very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The Carvery was ordered and brought to the table. Portions were large and the food was cooked to perfection and delicious. Faultless. Very impressed, highly recommended
