Everything went alright until we returned the car. They charged us £85 plus an “administration fee” of £33 for a very small scratch on the wheel. The fee for this scratch was more than the price we paid for the rental to begin with! This was even after paying extra for damage protection at pick up. Additionally, we paid £15 for the company to pick us up from our hotel in order to get the car. At the time this was not a large issue however, in light of the scratch situation it is clear they will get as much money as they possible can out of you. DO NOT TRUST THIS RENTAL AGENCY!

Hired a car from Australia recently to tour Cornwall for 3 days. I needed to provide my own steering knob as I have a restricted license. Other firms in Bath could not even make a decision (after several weeks) whether or not to rent a car to me. Thrifty came back almost immediately with an affirmative reply, so I was very pleased to use them. The car was great, economical and easy to drive. The location is a bit out of the way (about 20 pounds taxi fare from Premier Inn Bath) but they were very good and upon returning the car provided a driver to take us back into Bath at no charge. Not sure if this is normal but they provided a very good service and I would not hesitate to use them again.

The charity I work for regularly hires vehicles from Thrifty Bath, and we have never encountered any problems with them. Always a great service.
