Went in for a quick drink after lunch and saw the other tables food. It looked amazing so we came back a few days later to eat. Absolutely fantastic, fish pie huge, fish cake incredible. Portion sizes generous. Staff really friendly. You can't book, just turn up and they will try to accommodate you.
As a local resident I've had many recommendations to eat here. Finally made it and was not disappointed. We were there on a quite night so no problems getting a table. Food exceeded expectations, we had burgers which were very well presented and very big. Served with proper chips and a good salad, which is always a bonus. Will definitely be visiting again and recommending to others
Gorgeous pub in the stunning Cornish harbour village of Polperro. Super friendly staff, very quick service, lovely food and if you are up on the rooftop you get fantastic views of the harbour. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Can be busy at peak times so there may be a bit of a wait till a table becomes available. Not a problem as they take a contact number so you can have a wander while you wait.
A very warm and friendly pub! Service was superb and the food was excellent. We had the Crab Bisque to start which was delicious and then shared the Fish Platter for 2 which is a must have for any fish lover. Will definitely visit again when in the area!
Unfortunately the pub doesn't take bookings, so you have to go in and chance it. We waited about 30 minutes for a table of 8. However, it then took another 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food to come out and when it did, one of the dishes southern friend chicken burger, was cold. My mother in law had the fish pie for £18.95 and was very disappointed by it. She counted 2 tiny prawns and not much fish. It was all potato and cheese. She said it tasted nice, but was definitely not worth the price. The burgers the rest of us had, however, were amazing and very tasty and well worth the £15+. Served in a rustic crusty roll and proper chip shop chips, we were all stuffed by the end of it. The local beers were fab too. My husband's new favourite is Offshore. It was very smooth and tasty. The pub also has a rooftop garden, where the views are beautiful. We also visited in the summer last year and it was gorgeous. Despite the long delay in getting our food and the cold dish being served up, I would still recommend visiting this pub if you are in Polperro. The quaint little town is an absolute must do, when visiting Cornwall
Fish and chips from here is superb! A little pricey but worth it! So fresh! And very friendly service too! Our dog was very happy here as well
Roof top terrace. Views are amazing. Walk up some very narrow and steep steps to an amazing roof/cliff top beer garden. Please pop in if your In the area
Lovely atmosphere and great service. Food may be a bit pricey, but it was very good. I had a burger, beautifully presented. Best burger bun I've ever had. Packed with cheese, bacon, onion ring, and more. Only thing I can fault it for is that the burger itself was a patty, and I don't like patty, I want a burger to be a real meat. I still give the burger 8.5 out of 10. As you can see from the pictures, it really looked good. Great service! Highly recommend the place.
Delightfully hospitable pub & staff - so welcoming. A beef Sunday roast and cider battered fish & chips hit the spot before a lovely mixed fruit & pear crumble. Highly recommend a visit to Polperro's oldest pub
Lovely little pub just off the harbour. Serves about 3 ales. Has a brilliant patio roof terrace. Does food. Recommended
