We stayed in a holiday home very close by and visited the Blue Peter inn most evenings either for drink and on a couple of occasions to have something to eat. We have seldom been to such a great welcoming pub as this. Everyone of the bar staff was friendly, talkative and made us feel really welcome. They have a few tables outside where can you sit and enjoy the sunshine. Inside is very nice and we always found a nice place to sit. On both occasions we at the crab linguine and it is fantastic. I wish we had this pub in our town. I can’t recommended it highly enough and I hope we get to visit it again in the future.
Good food, excellent ales proper Cornish Tavern atmosphere friendly staff quick service. Plenty of seating but be warned, it gets busy. Decent prices, 8 to 10 quid for fish and chips, baguettes and chips etc. I had Tribute corniche ale which was well kept.
We were pleased to visit Blue Peter Inn after long 7 years since our first visit, and we were not disappointed! We fondly remembered this harbour inn as a cosy and friendly place with great food. This time, we had our dinner on two consecutive evenings, and we found the meals very delicious. The vegetarian curry with veggies on the side was full of flavour, the fish and chips enormous plus the burger with Stilton such a marvellous comfort food. Our daughter loved the chips, and we will keep this place in our memories until we come back one day.
Great pub that ticked all the local Cornish seaside pint, fireplace nooks and atmosphere boxes. Super friendly staff too. Good choice of lagers too. Fish and chips was huge and soup was good.
We all had a different meal 7 of us and all thoroughly enjoyed them. My Bouillabaisse was just delicious! The haddock was a nice large portion. There was also a vegan option! Lovely friendly staff and a great location. Dog friendly too.
Spent many evenings dinning having drinks and chatting with the locals who were very friendly. Staff were very helpful. Large menu to choose from meals were all cooked lovely and well presented. This is my happy place over looking the harbour .
The Blue Peter inn is a really good pub. Traditional, warm and a great place to have a drink. Me and my dad walked from looe to Polperro and what kept us going was the drinks at the blue Peter. Really good atmosphere and is dog friendly. Only issue I found is when I went there was a massive wait on food 1 hour and so we chose not to eat there, but people we have talked to have said that the food is great.
This place has excellent lunch menus on offer with a nice view of the harbour. Had a delicious crab wrap paired with great chunky chips and a nicely garnished salad. Couple next to us mentioned that the crab linguini portion was big which can only be a good thing.
Quality harbourside Inn. Serves great ale. Friendly service. It really is lovely and cosy in there with a great ambience. Upstairs seating and has live music. Highly recommended
Great find in polperro harbour. Pleasantly surprised by the spread of vegan options out here. Great views as well! Recommend!
