Myself and family visited this gorgeous inn for a meal on our last day of our visit to Cornwall. I had the steak, which was cooked to perfection!! My son even ate all his food which is a huge accomplishment. The locals are all lovely and friendly and overall very welcoming. I definitely would recommend coming to this lovely establishment. Also it helps that the gentleman who served us was absolutely stunning !!!
We loved the food and the lady serving us has served us 3 times in the past 2 weeks. She has been consistently lovely and attentive and we were sad to hear she was leaving. We ordered far too much but loved everything. Happy to have you as a local :Service: 5/5
We didn't stay but love nearby. Just came for food. It was excellent and the staff were very friendly and welcoming both on the phone and at the inn. It was a very busy evening but the service and food was perfect. We didn't get the chance to give a service tip and had no cash : , so maybe adding this on to the card machine might be worth thinking about ..? Anyway thanks for a great evening .
Disappointed in the quality of the food. Chicken burger tasted like it was deep fat fried and was saturated in oil. The chips tasted like they were cooked in the same oil. Service was good and the pub is lovely, only reason I gave an extra star. We came as a family, spent over £100 and none of us particularly enjoyed the food. Gutted, as the reviews made us expect better.
Wonderful! Friendly, professional and courteous staff, a relaxed atmosphere with a congenial, village feel. Great menu, fair pricing. Pleasant, friendly clientele too. A pleasure to discover this authentic, family-run Kernow gem. Five stars Service: 5/5
We had booked Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. Great selection of meats and veg. The roast potatoes were delicious. We have booked again for when we are down in May.Service: 5/5
1st Fantastic steak, great pub we popped in early afternoon for a livener and booked a meal for. 2nd, one negative the kids burger really looked and tasted like it came from a pound shop, a bit disappointed. 3rd, the beer is lovely I had a wonderful pint or two of tribute, cracking pint. I would highly recommend.
We travelled down from west Midlands for a week in looe.. we booked a table online with easy for 2 adults and 3 children.. we were greeted on arrival and had great customer service throughout our evening in the jubilee... our food was amazing and the environment was lovely.. we have previously been before covid as a larger party from our landrover club so came back as a tradition.. no doubt we will be back. Thank you.
Traditional old country pub, open fire, old stone floors and traditional solid oak wooden tables. Really welcoming hosts. Excellent service and food excellent too. I’d stop here again
Dog friendly pub with exceptional service and lovely food I went back in October 22 as part of a camping trip round Cornwall, it was my two 5 month old mastiffs first extended period away from home, and this was the first pub they'd been inside. Unfortunately we could only see those single column tables, to which we attached the puppies, some food feel on the floor and there was a fight over it and the table was all over the place. Our drinks had gone everywhere and they kindly helped us clean it up and bought us more drinks. We had forgotten to bring their blanket so the puppies were restless and hard to settle - they found us an empty part of the restaurant and set us up in there with the puppies and bought us our food so the puppies weren't as distracted and could settle. The food was tasty and reasonable priced Would highly recommend, especially if you have dogs
