This surgery threw me and my 6 disabled children off because I put a formal complaint in about a doctor ragging my child's head about to the point she was in tears. I told the doctor she was autistic and hated her head touched. The doctor didn't care, she was having a bad day I guess, I say this due to how she ragged my daughters head about as it was not normal. Few years ago, another doctor from this surgery told me my breast lump was nothing. I got a second opinion from hospital and it was infact cancer and I had to have surgery to remove it, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. Also, could never get an appointment, staff members were rude to me all the time, seems like covid made them all wake up on the wrong side of the bed. There's no communication between staff members, they lost blood results of mine etc. It was a shambles. After they threw me off their list I got another surgery, and only now I can see how badly Thornton Medical Centre was actually run. My new surgery is very pleasant and all staff members are always smiling and treat me like a human being and with respect - something I never got at Thornton Medical practice!!!
In my forty plus years with this surgery I have experienced total support and care at every point. The doctors, nurses and staff are considerate, and professional. Thank you all at Thornton Medical Centre

Hi there I would like to leave some feedback about the service I received yesterday Monday 29/1/24. I rang approximately 8.45am for a telephone appointment as i suspected i had tonsilitis. My tonsils had white pus on them on the left side & was extremely sore & inflamed, this was affecting my ear & my glands all down the left side of my face. The agent sorry i don't remember her name said she would ask a Dr to call me in the morning as a matter of urgency. I received a call around 11am from Dr Lindsay Springett, she was so sympathetic and knowledgeable and prescribed me with penicillin antibiotics & a throat spray. The Dr also said what to look out for in case it turned in to an abscess. The prescription was sent by link immediately to Cohens chemist. My son collected my medication & he took a photo of my infected tonsil I was concerned it may be an abscess. I rang yourselves again feeling extremely worried, i spoke to Julie and explained the situation, she immediately spoke to Dr Springett and advised me i would receive a link in which i could send the photo directly to Dr.Springett. The link arrived in seconds, i immediately sent the photo and instantly received a reply from Dr.Springett advising it was not an abscess and again was very sympathetic and put my mind at rest. After taking my prescribed medication since yesterday i slept for the first time since Wednesday night almost pain free and today i feel like a new woman up and about cleaning my apartment. I cant thank you all enough, you're angels all of you, you truly are and a credit to the practice. Once again a BIG THANK YOU xxx
I was with this GP surgery for 3 years. I have just moved away, and I can honestly say this is the best GP surgery I have ever been to. I have a number of disabilities so I have used their services quite regularly ! and all of the team are brilliant. If I needed, I have always got an “on the day” appointment. Their opening times are very flexible. Receptionists are empathetic and understanding. GP’s are very proactive and always follow up with you. Prescriptions team are brilliant and they sort out any queries or problems incredibly quickly. Big thanks to the whole team.
02.05.2024 15:00pm atm, the health center is not working I don't know how long , came for my blod test results copie, and there's not even reception. So why the app shows it's still works open? Strange.
Have been here for 13 plus years. Dr Mourmouris is the best GP and the staff are always brilliant and helpful and considerate. Cannot fault them.
Firstly, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful service I received at Thornton Medical Centre. I would like to make special mention to Dr. F. Hussain, Dr. A. Dickins and the two 5th year students Harleen & Kat, Dr. C. Chan and Louise. You were all professional, kind, empathetic and lovely and I truly felt supported throughout my illness. I am also grateful for the online messaging service via the SYSTMONLINE platform and was very impressed by the quick responses I received from Louise. I was able to share my concerns and give updates about my illness and Louise ensured that all my concerns were related to my GP. She even went on to book me a telephone review that day due to my concerns. Thank you Louise for your outstanding service and for your compassion, kindness and efficiency. Thank you again to the lovely team at Thornton Medical Centre and keep up the amazing work!
I've been with this practice since birth 46 years ago when it was Dr mallett, then Dr Addlestone and even remember Dr Mourmoris when I was a child when he first started there . I absolutely give 100%support to these guys. Looked after my grandparents with no complaints. Always gave 1000%to my grandparents to which I am truly grateful. I'm also grateful for my care. I understand the pressures so waiting 2 weeks for an appointment is not the best but i am OK with that. When it looked like I was serious they got me in. And lastly from my latest result that I did not expect the Gp was lovely. I don't think you all from receptionist to manager to gp's , nurses health cares get the recognition you deserve. From me and my family I think your amazing and thankyou xx
From receptionists to clinicians everyone is very friendly and professional. I recognise that healthcare providers are under immense pressures dealing with increased demand post-pandemic but the practice staff has been absolutely fantastic in meeting patients needs and managing demand. The online booking system and the ability to see patient facing clinical notes and lab results are extremely useful and a real time saver.
