Very lovely hotel situated in the town centre. Very nice, clean, quiet and modern rooms and good size. Massive comfortable bed. Super Friendly staff. Nice breakfast served as a buffet lots of choice . Access to coffee machine 24/7 highly recommended vending machines in the hall .Rooms: 5/5
Brilliant hotel. Within 5 minute walk of train station. Checked in without any problem by cheerful, friendly staff. Nice clean room 504 with comfortable bed and joy of joys a window that opens slightly to allow fresh air into the room. The bathroom has grown up size shower gel dispensers not the thimble size bottles so commonly proved. Free WiFi and coffee, tea & hot choc available in reception 24/7 good breakfast selection to set you up for the day, perfect crispy bacon. Well deserved 5 stars.
The hotel was perfect for our stay. Clean in and out. Staff were always smiling and conversing! Both rooms were very clean, smelt nice and fresh. Bedding and room cleaned everyday. Polite cleaning staffs too. Breakfast was tasty and fresh. Hot food station was constantly refilled which was nice to enjoy early mornings. Selection of cereals, bakery, fruits and drinks too. My only disappointment was that no kettles were in the rooms BUT i liked that a hot beverage station was available on the ground floor for self service 24/7! So everytime I passed the machine I grabbed a different drink each time! Location was an issue as its off a main road with loads of road works happening. Road markings and directions were a little hard to follow but eventually got there, hahahaa. 2 massive car-parks are available right opposite the hotel with no parking on the road outside the hotel unless loading. Double yellow lines all round the hotel. Theres a shopping centre about 3mins walk away from the hotel. I defo recommend to stay at this hotel.
Good value, poor breakfast. I booked this hotel because I found a decent deal. The hotel is recently refurbished, and looked fresh, although I found the bathroom old and a touch dated. The room was relatively small, but fine. The location is good, between the railway station and town centre. The gentleman on check in was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was disappointing. I arrived more than 30 minutes before the end of breakfast service, to hear the chef telling another customer that there would be no more cooked eggs for the day. There was hardly any bread left, a very depleted cold section, and a selection of stale croissants.
A 5 minute walk from the centre the hotel has discounted parking across the road in an ncp. Check in staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was 4 star with a 1 star bathroom that really let's it down. The room has a good firm superking sized bed, no air con but a fan is provided, Iron and hair drier. Tea and coffee making facilities are situated in the reception and are free to all guests. Our stay was spoilt by people kicking off in the corridor middle of the night but the staff sorted it out quickly. Breakfast was poor, stale pastries, breakfast items not replenished and they ran out of butter which is a first . Pros, cons not great but not bad x
Wonderful staff and clean spacious rooms. You get so much for your money in this hotel compared to so many others! Many happy guests here!Rooms: 5/5
The staff were great, especially Luisa. That's where the good ends. Unbelievably noisy, 3 nights and I didn't get one full night's sleep due to noise and not just from neighbours. The fan in the bathroom never turns off and you can hear the water pipes in the cupboard hissing all night. Let's put the towel rail directly above the toilet, so when you stand up, you knock the hand towel off and it drops into the recently used bowl. Eewwww! They have a free coffee machine in reception! Oh well done, such a special thing to do, because there's nothing wrong with having to go down 7 flights and then back up just to get a drink. Only 1 lift works as well. In summary, staff great, hotel awful.
It's located in a very central location which is accessible to shopping, restaurant, theatre and train station. Hotel staff were very friendly and nice. Since I came with my wife, I wanted a quiet room with a nice view and I got exactly what I asked for. The sound insulation between the room has to be improved since we were able to hear sounds from both the rooms. The temperature control is not with us which was bit of pain when you want to reduce the temperature as the room was very warm The hotel provides 24 hrs free coffee and tea and free breakfast. The breakfast itself can be improved massively by getting extra money if required. I am reducing one star just for the sound insulation in the room and breakfast But otherwise I would definitely recommend this and would love to stay here again when I come next time.
I have never had ‘Rona before, and I understand about saver rates and what this may mean for a booking. However, I’m coming to Swindon quite a lot over the coming years, and I contracted Coronavirus and asked if my booking could be transferred not cancelled. It was flat out refused. This meant I was faced with coming to the hotel with my coronavirus to have the booking they refuse to move, infecting their staff and other guests - or leaving this review and stating their policy to other readers. Fortunately for society, I’m not selfish, and I’m not going to risk the health of others.
I think my price is not expensive Incredible thing is the Breakfast is good and free coffee and tea all day supplies But be careful for the car park Must ask the front desk First I just get into the wrong car park
