We stayed here on a Fri/sat night. The staff are all amazing and we have really enjoyed our time here. The swimming pool was very nice. It has been more than value for money. The only bad points are that the pool table in the bat didn't work properly so we didn't get a full game and the TVs in the bedroom are very very old and only have 5 random channels.

Stayed here for Management course, 6 nights over 3 visits, a couple of months apart in 2017 starting in January. The first visit I was very impressed, lovely facilities,food and room. 2nd and 3rd visit was terrible. The room was hot with a useless TV, the same sinks in toilets didn't work, and the service in the restaurant was non existent. My original visit would have resulted in a 5 star rating, but following the last 2 visits this drops to 2 stars.

Good conference centre. Not to be confused for a hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The food was very standard though and they had 'issues' with the TV's when i stayed there, so only had 2 channels available. This isn't somewhere for a romantic weekend but as a conference centre it ticks nearly all of the boxes. The staff were all very pleasant and polite too.

The place where mobile and TV reception comes to die - 10 channels of snow. There is a sauna, but you won't need it: the rooms are so hot - which is just as well because if they were cool enough to sleep in your attention might fall where your head does: the pillows. Although to call them pillows is generous - bags of lumps is more apt. After a night of no sleep you can look forward to an inedible cooked breakfast (yes - even the bacon) accompanied by no fruit juice as they probably will have run out again. On the plus side the place was very clean and what few staff are available are friendly (if not able to actually help as they can't work the new computer system). Thank goodness I was on a corporate rate! 3 stars earned on the basis that previous stars were not so impressively poor.

Alexandra House is extremely well kitted out! Attended a CPD course with Improve International, and the facilities provided are excellent for both classroom based and practical learning. The hotel itself is very nice - large rooms, big comfy bed, clean and tidy. Staff provide a friendly and professional service. The hotel has wonderful leisure facilities too, including a gym, swimming pool and sauna. Food in the hotel restaurant has been very good. Overall a fantastic stay in the hotel and an excellent learning experience from the Improve International guys. Five stars!!!
