Nice atmosphere, welcoming pub. Good attentive service. Food was mediocre at best, price on the high side. Pub only had 3-4 tables and food still took 30 for scallops pizza and burger all togethernScallops were decent, well fried. Pizza could have done with a couple minutes more. Burger was not toasted enough, lacking filling, and generally you’d expect more life for £21 on a plate. Sent it back to be topped up. All in all, I’d give it another chance. But if a pub can’t do a decent burger, is it worth trying?
Had a lovely meal here today with friends, food was excellent and a lovely atmosphere. We meet here about 3 times a year and it never fails us. Today we were served by Martyn who looked after us really well, attentive service with a smile thanks for the macaroons
Visited at 12.30pm on a Sunday. Spacious car park, dog friendly and spotlessly clean, including the toilets.nDisappointingly, all meals were smaller than expected, for the price, with two of the three meals both the roasts luke warm at best.nOur dogs weren't bothered by the food temperature, however, as it meant they got to eat more of the roast dinners!
Fabulous lunch in a lovely sumptuous atmosphere and delicious food, expertly presented at a great price. Superb service by Martyn who gave the swiftest friendliest service I've had in years.nAbsolutely first class and will be back regularly after today.nPlenty of parking too!
A beautiful and wonderful lunch saying goodbye to my two amazing boys before they go to university. Came with my parents, and them and myself and we sat in the bar area, very snug and cozy. The service was wonderful with great and lovely chat from the team. Special shout out to Lilly who was lovely in serving us at the bar, as well as Ruby, Martyn and Sarah all helping out. A real team effort ! Lovely food and lovely drinks all around, will defo come again!!
