The Bell

Warm and inviting with friendly attentive staff. Stopped in for a coffee but ended up having brunch following an appointment at the hospital. 2 Americano's and a 'small' Bubble and Squeak later we were pleasantly full and warm. Service was quick and the food really tasty; beautifully poached egg and amazing bacon with a warm and filling B&S patty :)) Will definitely visit again!

Recently went to The Bell with work colleagues for dinner. As always the staff were friendly, place has a beautiful ambiance. I noticed they have updated the menu. Food is delicious, however I was extremely disappointed to discover the portion sizes have dramatically decreased. I was left feeling hungry after my main course :( my other colleagues, some who had never been to the bell were also shocked to find the portion sizes being so small. Unfortunately we also did not receive one of the starters we requested, but we were billed for it. I understand it maybe "trendy" to do pretty dishes with small amounts of food however when I go to a pub I expect to have a decent portion sized meal. Sadly I am not sure I will want to order food there in the future as there is nothing worse than still feeling hungry after a meal and paying quite high prices for that meal, which is a shame because the flavours of the food are excellent.

Wonderful food can not fault it! , lovely atmosphere, value for money. Highly recommend.. Service a slow and not checked on during meal, need to be more attentive.
