Stayed here again over Christmas to visit family locally. As always, the 5 Bells is. Charming, very welcoming and a real traditional.country oub. The food, service and accomodation is wonderful.
Old fashioned but relaxed place with good warm service and excellent food presented very well. I actually can't fault the place at all. Real wood decorations and warm feel, we had a meal for two with cheeky Gin and ginger an a beer/lager they also have a range of spirits & real ale. I think there's a small hotel attachednext door good parking. Not too far from Aylesbury town/Stoke Mandeville Hospital/ trainline not far away either. So if you want to be under the radar & 1 hr from London or Oxford by train or car good little spot.
We enjoyed a meal with a large group of friends 11 and the food was outstanding. I am always a bit surprised when there are lots of people to cater for, not everywhere does it well. The five bells is fantastic and the team really know how to take care of you. Great food, great service and a really lovely atmosphere. It’s such a gorgeous pub and very festive to top it off!
Fantastic food and service the chefs on duty who were Ewan who made the starter and Sarah made the mains , absolutely amazing experience , all the front of house start were attentive but not intruding and gave just the right amount of attention, a very enjoyable evening
Such a beautiful place to come for breakfast. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the chef knows his way around a kitchen! 10/10 from me. The lovely quality of food and the wonderful atmosphere the friendly staff create keeps me coming back
