On entering The Plough and heading to the bar i had a ten minute wait to be served even though 4 members of staff were behind the bar. 1 was serving, another was collecting glasses from the bar and the remainder were chatting away which meant we had a 10 minute wait to be served despite the place being relatively quiet. Eventually when I was served I was told there would be an hour long wait for food to be served and that they did not do an alternative option from vegan gravy. I would not recommend.

Excellent service and food. Been there quite a few times and the last 4 Christmas Day dinners are top class.

The Plough is a really great place to go, yes it is pub food BUT it's cooked and presented in a way that makes you want to eat every last morsel! Have been here many times but usually at lunchtime and service is excellent! The seating arrangement in the restaurant means you can talk, walk to the bar without being bothered by other people's conversation. The whole pub looks fresh, modern and cosy. The staff are SO helpful and pleasant. The food, of which there is a tremendous variety, tastes fresh, looks delicious and is plentiful. This is our 'go to' place to eat especially when it's comfort food you crave.

Less then average simple fry food taking 50 to 60 minute to be server. The main problem is in kitchen. Food seems bought from round the corner Sainsbury's, this should be wakeup call for owner.

Had a bad experience at this restaurant/pub before but thought we we give it another try as it's been over a year since then. And unfortuntly it's still no better. My food came out the steak was chewy and looked like a off cut peice of rag. I asked the girl serving us and she said there's a large party come in if I want to send it back it could be upto half hour wait. Decided to eat the chips which were no better they looked as though they had been re cooked from earlier. My partners chicken was dry and burnt the jacket potato was dried out. If it wasn't for the member of staff having to bring our food to the table we wouldn't have seen them. There was no checks done to make sure food was ok we had to go find her to ask about the steak. Very disappointed. We thought we would give it another try but I think our minds are made up we won't be back.
