Used to be a top eating venue but alas they can't seem to hold onto a chef!!! Ate there a week or so ago. Evening booking (7.30) on a Friday. A few years back it would have been heaving..... probably less than half full (way less). Told there were no specials available as the chef had to leave suddenly earlier that evening (we didn't buy that one by the way..... definitely sounded like an excuse). Food was okay but nothing special. £13 for a pasta dish which frankly I could have cooked myself. Came in at £55 (plus tip) for two of us which in itself is okay (friendly enough service) but we could have brought a ten quid M&S meal deal (with wine) and enjoyed it more. I'm saddened to leave just three stars as it used to be five in our book and we do like to support local businesses.....but sadly we won't be returning soon.

Went for 1st time last night. What a lovely place. 7 of us went 4 of us had the steaks, all wanted them cooked different and all came out cooked perfect. Puddings were huge. Recommend the stcky toffee pudding. Staff were lovely especially the lovely greek lady so friendly. Will def go back again. Only downful is the parking, not enough spaces.

Who lays a cream carpet in a country pub? Garden was ok, luckily it was sunny. Dogs not welcome. Friendly barman with nice beer.
