The room was perfectly acceptable but a little tired around the edges stained not dirty sink, window seals gone and letting the wind in a little. Service was excellent, gluten free breakfast for my wife wasn't an issue.nLovely little bistro bar. Would very happily stay again.
This hotel is in a beautiful location. Spent an hour in the spa using the hydrotherapy pool. Very relaxing. Water on tap and plenty of loungers aroundnthe pool.nNice changing rooms complete with hairdryers showers, lockers, etc.nA nice touch was the fan that had been placed in the changing rooms on a boiling hot day.
Stopped by to have some dinner on way back from a day trip. friendly lady that served me and the food was really nice. Best belly pork I've had in a while. Will definitely call again.
I cannot describe how fantastic this place is.nnFirstly, it’s blissful being surrounded by the beautiful Welsh countryside hills. Secondly, there is free spa access! The sauna was a great temperature around 75degrees C and the steam room was lush too. When I went to the spa the only thing was that the cold shower wasn’t working properly but that didn’t really take away from my experience as I just went to the changing rooms for the cold shower then came back. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.nnThere is a cute outdoor space with a pond and there were really cute frogs mating in there! There is a nice bench in the garden to sit on and enjoy listening to the nature sounds surrounding you.nnThe highlight of this place really is the hotel staff. They are so friendly and accommodating. I’m dairy free and they made me dairy free porridge at breakfast, dairy free peppercorn sauce with my steak at the restaurant and even remembered from the night before that I don’t drink so didn’t bring me a wine list and commented on it - lovely touch. They were also very accommodating about changing my breakfast time, and even brought me peppermint tea and green tea to take up to my room for an evening cup of tea.nnMy room was absolutely huge even though I didn’t pay extra for a large room.nnMy only improvement is that for me, I like a quiet morning so the music playing at breakfast wasn’t ideal. Classical or jazz music or something more calming than the pop that was playing would have been more ambient to ease into the day.nn6/5 would recommend !!
Would not come back!nnWe came for a trip away to Llangollen before we got married. We stopped and ate at the Glasshouse for some food and drinks. Absolutely terrible customer service, they did not acknowledge us, allowed people to wait queuing up at the bar without any acknowledgement to customers. The waiter continued to ignore customers as he brought out plates and plates of food. Did not smile or show any customer service skills. He did appear to be alone on his own for a small period of time which was not fair on him to do all these tasks on his own. This was not his fault and he appeared very busy and unable to manage the business on his own… which I agree! There needs to be more staff to support him! Operations manger need to be more mindful when rotating on a weekend and considering the impact this can also have on staff and customers. Not to create burn out.nFood was great but customer service was absolutely awful.
