Story

Llyn Rhys Campsite is run by Christine and Louis Hughes on our family farm, near to the centre of Llandegla. In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the campsite is conveniently situated alongside the A5104, two minutes from Llandegla Forest Mountain Bike Centre and also five minutes from the picturesque Horseshoe Pass.

We offer high quality showers, toilets and washroom facilities. We allow camp fires using our braziers, which are for hire, and sell logs and kindling.

An ideal base for walks of varying difficulties,we have the Clwydian Way and Offa's Dyke path passing through our land. We can help you plan your walk.
The campsite is family-based, where we like the noise to be kept low after 10 pm and silence after midnight. This is to consider the families with small children and also the walkers and bikers who need their sleep after a gruelling day of exercise.

There is a choice of 2 flat fields or a lawned area. There is also hard standing for caravans and cars should the grassed areas be too wet.There are three restaurants, offering an excellent welcome and good food within walking distance. The village shop is half a mile away in the centre of the village.

The village has lots to offer and Llangollen, a 10 minute drive, has many outdoor adventure activities including white water rafting, gorge walking, canoeing and climbing.

Our local historic towns, Ruthin, Wrexham, Mold are all within a 10 mile radius. Bala and Chester are 20 miles away and you can reach the coast and Snowdonia within 45 mins.
