I recently visited the White Swan JD Wetherspoons, and it was a fantastic experience! The ambiance of the place is charming, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ensuring that we had everything we needed. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of options on the menu to suit all tastes. I especially enjoyed the fish and chips, which were cooked to perfection – crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The prices are also very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food and service. The White Swan also has an impressive selection of drinks, including a good range of local ales and classic cocktails. It's the perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or a quick drink after work. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience in a friendly pub setting!
The food was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious however there must have been a staff problem as half our order didn't arrive, then on asking it still wasn't full so took a while as did the drinks however they were apologetic. Also we'd ordered via the app and done one vege option but the side of meat sausage had been put with it : At the bar they didn't serve in order of how long people had been waiting which was not right. Nice family atmosphere however but quite messy. Nightmare parking in the town if you don't know the area too.
I came in for drinks and food with my family last Wednesday. I had a very pleasant visit. The manager on shift was very helpful and friendly, we didn't get his name but he was wearing a dark shirt with stripes and had short hair. The staff were attentive and anything we needed help with they were happy to help. I'd recommend this pub to everyone I know.
Great food and drink at an affordable price. Staff were really good too. Pub was very busy but we were still served quickly. It's a nice pub to visit. Good beer selection but no fever tree tonic for my wife which was a shame. She had to have britvic tonic in her gin. Other than that there were no issuesFood: 5/5
Visited on Valentine's day afternoon. It was about half full. Typical Wetherspoon food. Staff was nice and attentive.Food: 4/5
Great WYSIWYG place with drinks at an amazing price. Ordering by app with drinks delivered to the table is a delight. Don't agree with the owner's politics but do agree with his business model.
Food was served late a plate was missing had to ask for it. Cold when arrived steak very tough. Very small portions for the price. Atmosphere very good staff friendly and approachable. Bar service is good. Tables left with empty plates and dirty. Had to ask for crockery to be moved in order to sit at a table. Kid-friendliness: Kids are well welcomed.
One of the best pub I ever been. Very nice price. Just one thing to mention which the waitress I’m not sure her name bring me wrong order first place but she offered replace I totally understand everyone make mistakes as long as they tries to satisfy costumer I won’t even bothered Parking: It’s a lot of spaces for everybody and it’s for free
Update: have been a few times now and the food hasn't been up scratch. There is always something missing in one of our meals. Latest one was ordering an ultimate burger which was missing the bacon. Went to The White Sawn for lunch. Had to get past people smoking right outside the door. Once inside there was ample seating and we managed to get a nice clean table. We ordered from the app; the drinks and food arrived promptly after. The pizza we ordered was the right size as advertised and roughly the size of the plate. It was generously topped as well and tasted good. The fish and chips were also cooked well and you got a reasonable portion of chips in comparison to some of the small portions at other weatherspoons. Overall a good experience with fast service and good portion sizes. The only negative is to be prepared to go past the people sitting and smoking right by the only entrance maybe they should move the smoking area!
Nice spoons to have a quick pint in on our first leg of a journey to Somerset.Staff were friendly and quick to serve a good job as the parking outside is limited to 30 minutes.Multi storey car park close by but as we have a van the height restriction meant we couldn't access this.If like me you love Wetherspoons this is a nice one to tick off your list.
