I came yesterday with family. The food was gorgeous in itself hot and we was more than happy. The staff themselves were friendly, warm and welcoming. I hate to moan someone came in with a dog and she picked it up and sat it on a stool at the side of the bar. Other than that cracking couple of hours. Thank you
The staff were great. They were courtesy, keen to provide a good service and answered queries well. We were served with acceptable time frames. Special shout out to Staff team member Mia Joy who was lovely, smart and professionalFood: 5/5
What a great pub. Have not Bern here for over 50 years and was really lovely going there to celebrate my sisters end to her cancer treatment. We had fab good and drinks and the staff were amazing. Great girls behind the bar. I picked up the festive menu and will defo be going back with all the family for more yummy food and fun.
This place just doesn't have great standards. The food wasn't served with the dip that was advertised on the menu. The tables full of empty glasses and the ash trays full of soaked cigarettes that hadn't been cleaned out from the night before. I'd understand if standards dropped when really busy, but it wasn't. I don't think I'll eat in an Ember Inns again, but will likely still pop in for a pint.
Family meal on a Friday evening, and we had the last available table. Typical Ember Inns food etc, and good value and tasty. There was a buzz about the place. Had the french dipping burger. No idea the french did that. And no need to emulate them again, but the burger was really juicy without the dipping sauce thing. See photos. Update 27/4/24. The french dipping burger no longer on the menu, but the replacement Ultimate Burger is really good, as is the standard Cheese and bacon burger, pictured
Recently refurbished so nice and clean. Good atmosphere as lots of people were visiting due to the reopening. However the wait on food was long 30+ minutes for lunch. Would visit again but maybe more for drinks and nibbles. Nice to see that the bar area is dog friendly.Food: 4/5
Booked a table for three with wheelchair access. Friendly bar and service staff. I particularly liked Ben who was working behind the bar, found him helpful when I was struggling with my new phone to download the app. He was very friendly when we ordered drinks in the gardens later and it wasnt too much trouble for him to go in and get a glass of cold water!! The meal was lovely too.
We come to the Pub Quiz every Sunday - Brilliant atmosphere for both family pub and for drinks on the evening. We came to the evening of the England match, complete one off and shouldn’t be reflective of the pub at all. Well priced food, very good atmosphere and a great team.Food: 5/5
Had hunter's chicken which I thought would be chicken breast but was breaded and was deep fried and too crunchy around the edges, my mom had the same meal and left it as she thought it was uncooked in the middle, I never got that far as it was to over deep fried. I asked for tonic water but got soda water the only positive was the waitress service was good
Absolutely incredible place to go for food and drinks, can't fault it at all. Me and my partner have been a few times now at different times of the day and we always get the most amazing service and the most amazing food.Food: 5/5
