Nice lunch here today. Good selection of local beers. Food arrived promptly. Generous portions for both fish and chips and also chicken tagliatelle. Enjoyed some classic rock through the music system.
Perfect little gem in Bramcote village. Sunday lunch was delicious and plentiful for a great price.
Very disappointing it had a very good reputation for dining in the past but we found it not anywhere near what all four of us expected. Table service was very slow,30 minutes for the starters, 35 minutes for the main course served up on cold plates so food cold before we finished eating a further wait for sweets .when asked why the poor service, reply was back log in the kitchen. Only four tables had dinners. The staff could not cope. We prebooked and selected food off the Christmas menus a week earlier so the so called chef had no excuse for poor service.
First time in many years. Not changed any. Friendly service. Good range of beers at decent prices. Would have preferred no music but was not too intrusive
Visited this place whilst in the area and did not know what to expect. On entering the pub, it displayed the Cask Marque which for me tells me this place knows how to keep it's beer. An excellent choice of 4 ales were on offer. 2 of which were local. A large menu of home cooked food was available with a number of specials. The food came in large portions so you definitely won't leave this place hungry yet the quality was high. A children's menu was also available which included an ice cream. Home made chips are worth a mention. All more than fairly priced. The interior was classic pub and this was complimented by a large beer garden with roaming chickens. Plenty of parking available too. The staff were very friendly, making us feel welcome which added to an overall great Saturday lunch.
Nice family pub a big garden at the back. visited it on a Bank holiday so there was entertainment on. Two different types of menu for outside burgers etc and dinners inside . Local meeting place on another visit it was a pensioners lunch time meeting.
Went for evening meal. Best gammon ive had in a long time. My partner hsd the curry and he said it was very tasty. Lovely warm atmosphere in the pub. Friendly and chatty bar men. Great service. Thankyou
Fantastic pub lovely staff and the food is so nice very big garden under cover and open probably the most relaxing pub around 5.
Friendly staff and customers. Great beer garden. Here with family on bank holiday Sunday. Beer tent with guest ales and live music.
Good old fashioned pub, plenty of cask ales to choose from and good home style cooking at a good price
