We visited a few days ago on the spur of the moment, and so glad we did. Wonderful location, fabulous staff, lovely food and the best family room we have ever stayed in. The bedroom was so spacious, we even had a seated area in the window where you can watch everything that is happening outside. So central and even a shuttle bus that stops outside the door to take you to the lake. We wouldn't have changed a thing about the stay, except maybe adding another few days! Totally recommend for families. Thank you to everyone that made our stay so wonderful.

Extremely smart rooms, unbelievable staff and the food at the pub was incredible

About as expensive as you'd expect for the Lake District, but good service and selection of drinks.
