Fine food, can't say the best Indian I ever tried. My husband had chicken tikka and I find the colour is a bit of too much of red colour... Otherwise, fine place, good service, there is a good choice of beer including kingfisherFood: 4/5
Great food. We really enjoyed our family meal at Ishaas. The food was great and very tasty. Great customer service. We were really impressed! Having booked a table, we received a phone call half an hour earlier letting us know that the table was ready in case we wanted to go a bit earlier. Tables were well spaced out to observe COVID regulations. Would definitely come back again!
The restaurant has a nice modern ambiance with lots of white. Friendly personnel and a wide range of items on the menu. The food tasted great and was well prepared. I must say that the sauces of chicken dishes were a bit on the sweet side. Personally I would wish for a somewhat lesser sweet taste. Having said that we had a very good meal.
Some of the reviews are a little off putting, however we thought we would give it a go. The food was excellent, the service great and it was very Busy. The Cobra was nice too.
Everything you want and expect from a northern curry house. On my visit went totally overboard and ordered far too much delicious hot food. Not too spicy a madras, delicious peshwari naan, tasty starters. Local real ale too! Attentive, but relaxed service. Good value. Overall, a lovely meal.
Lovely Indian. Portions are good, although it is pricey. Tandoori mixed grill was very generous, and the food is well spiced. Not toned down at all. The pathia was the hottest I've had, no problem as I do like a hot curry.
Really enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. I wouldn't mark it down for this but found the food more lukewarm rather than hot when it arrived. I guess I missed my complementary poppadoms that I'm used to getting home in Birmingham as it wasn't cheap, but can't take away from the quality overall.
One of the best indian restaurants I have ever been to. If you are in Ambleside this is a must goto Indian restaurant.
Disappointing portion sizes and a preponderance of sauce in the food . Four prawns in a main course didn’t seem good value . Here’s a photo of a portion of mango chutney !
Came whilst visiting Windermere and Ambleside, and was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant is halah, the service was excellent and the food was really good. I was not expecting much as in my experience the more remote indian restaurant tend to lack flavour but with Ishaas i would highly recommend to my fellow halal diet eaters! Definitely worth a visit if your exploring Windermere!!
