Story

An integral part of the Kensal Rise community, The Whippet Inn is a bar and bistro with a dedicated 30-cover dining room and all-seasons beer garden with retractable roof.

We constantly update our menus, following the seasons with British-sourced veg, meat, and sustainable fish. Join us for Saturday Brunch 10-4pm, plus quiz night and roasts all day Sunday; the 8-hour slow cooked, mint-glazed Devon lamb shoulder is the stuff of legend!

I like this place a lot.  It serves up good food, has good beers on tap and good wines. It has some tables at the front of the pub and a beer garden at the back should you want to sit outside. You would love it.Food: 5/5

My experience at the whippet inn, with Brya’s service was exceptional. My partner and I, loved every part of the food & service. Thank you, for your custom. Brya deserves a pay rise!!! Her and the other team gave 5 star service.Food: 5/5

Great pub, lovely staff, and good service, however the food wasn’t great, cold chips, smashed avocado was just a hard sliced one on a bit of stale sourdough, streaky bacon was a dry bit of back bacon, and the poached eggs were hard, a very boring tasteless dish. Fried Prawns were a bit under on another dish. Hopefully just a blip, but definitely could do better, and I’ve had better here.

Ate here on Tue 14/10. Had to remind staff about bringing drinks twice. Ordered chicken schnitzel which was very ordinary with a sad green looking salad thing. Service was bad. Had to go looking for someone to pay. Been coming to this place since it was The Greyhound & last night was a new low. Gut instinct said go to The Island. Will do next time. Whippet you sucked!

A really lovely Easter Sunday roast. Thoroughly recommended. Maddie who tended us was really good in seating us, taking our orders and getting the food served promptly. Would come back again.Food: 5/5

Really enjoyed our meal. Our fish dishes were perfectly cooked. The service was delightful. Bria not sure of spelling was attentive, efficient and absolutely charming. There's a great atmosphere overall. Will definitely visit again

very nice Sunday roast! Buuuuut...A little bit more gravy wouldn't hurt, and the potatoes were not very good. They need a little bit more love.  Service was very good and the wine as well! Will come back!

Didn’t have food. Had a small bite and it was really small so we decided to go elsewhere to eat. We had few drinks.  The guy that served us  Was absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough to help. I would definitely go back for the atmosphere and nice setting.Service: 5/5

Very nice newly refurbished pub with good outside seating albeit a bit noisy out the front and a good menu. Not a particularly extensive range of beer but a very good atmosphere. It was empty when I came Thursday 5pm.  Came again today and the online menu was out of date. My cost £25 instead of £17.50. That said it was a very well cooked piece of sirloin. Great service as always.
