This fabulous pub is near our rental so we reserved a table for dinner. I wanted fish & chips and I wasn’t disappointed - delicious!!! Highly recommend for good atmosphere, food & service.Food: 5/5
We went for a late bite to eat and were incredibly surprised at how beautiful the location was. The staff is very friendly, and the food couldn’t have been better. 10/10. You’re missing out if you don’t give this place a try. It was honestly the best part of my trip to London. Thank you
Had my wife’s 50th birthday celebration on Saturday, upstairs -really good food , very good service, nice atmosphere- staff were all helpful - would recommend!Food: 5/5
The team were so accommodating when I realised I’d booked for the wrong day and managed to find a booking slot over a bank holiday weekend. We were greeted warmly from the second we walked in and were looked after well throughout our meal. The vegetarian roast kale, mushroom and sweet potato with all the trimmings was one of the best ones I’ve had and I’d highly recommend it! The beef and chicken roasts were thoroughly enjoyed, too. We’re already keen to come back!
Nice pub set in Kendal Rise, inside has two levels and outdoor seating with heaters available if there's a bit of a chill. Good wines and spirits and overall a nice night out. Staff, generally friendly but the negative thing I would say is it is ridiculously expensive, so not going to be my regular but has a nice atmosphere and the toilets were clean. Did not have a full meal there but had a plate of chips which were tasty as fried with skins on. Didn't like much on the menu as very little for vegetarians.
Nice place. Friendly and welcoming staff. Food is great and cooked pretty quick depends on time when you visitFood: 5/5
When we arrived no one came to greet us for about 7 minutes. I'm on crutches. Then they took forever to take our order I had to call another waitress over it wasn't even busy. The food is way over priced I thought that anyway before ordering and after the tiny portion size for a main meal and mine being Vegan definitely was overpriced. The vegan option was nice, but the roast potatoes tasted like they were days old, the veg not very appetising. All served on a large plate the food did not even cover half of the plate. Tasted very bland had to put loads of black pepper on it. After eating I did not feel the slightest bit satisfied I literally had to go home and have a home cooked meal we were both very disgusted for the amount the bill came to for just too very small portion sized meals... can't even call that a meal! when they were supposed to be mains. Absolutely appalling will never eat there again. The place itself is nice though, but food
This was a lovely way to spend Christmas. The staff were very attentive and the food on the whole was enjoyable. The atmosphere was friendly as family and friends gathered to eat. There was only one thing I wish they changed is the desert menu. I liked the idea of the cheese plate of which I did not order but something a bit more homely would have gone down well after a festive meal. Good portion sizes, and nice treats such as canapés and mini mince pies were a perfect touch. Still a 9.9 overall.
First time here and first time trying Sunday roast and I absolutely loved loved the food . It didn’t disappoint not one bit . The pudding dessert was a 10/10. Very lovely, family and dog friendly pub .Food: 5/5
Always enjoy coming to The Island lovely pub, great location & friendly staff. However after having a family meal there yesterday unfortunately we left disappointed. The burger was over cooked the gnocchi dinner was extremely bland and at £20 overpriced.
