I came here for dinner to try the tasting menu and was seated at the bar counter on the Ground floor in front of the cold plates station with Kevin. A very welcoming and pleasant experience, very different to other fine dining tasting menu Michelin Stars that I have been at. The staff members are super friendly, and I really did appreciate it. Most dishes have interesting distinctive flavour and a story/muse to it. My favourite dish was the monk fish called “worth the wait” and one of the dessert called “wait and see” which was incredible. The 3 starters at the beginning was absolutely delicious also. Highly recommend and would I go back? Yes - for the next season menu to try it out or even maybe for a special occasion.
Came for a lunch and seated at the bar counter. A pleasant experience, it’s quite different to other fine dining tasting menu. I like the thoughts behind the dishes and the storytelling. The staff members are friendly, and I certainly appreciate the hospitality. Most dishes have interesting creative flavours. The sourdough bread was great, super crispy crust. You could ask them to give your more too. Among all the dishes, my favourite was the “conquering the beech tree” - langoustine, pork fat and burnt apple - it’s really a wow. Overall recommend to give this a try.
Amazing restaurant, super cossy and like at home feel. The food is amazing although the vegetarian version could be improved as the replacements for meat produce not always fit well into the dish. Overall great experience, waiters are very friendly and the place as well as the surrounding is beautiful. Entrance is a bit hidden but it only adds to the atmosphere of the restaurant. Many thanks to the chef Tom and team for unforgettable evening.
Freshness, subtlety, intimate and inspiring creativity are few ways to describe food and experience at Muse. After Mãos, Muse is our favourite place in Central London. We always go for wine pairing with tasting menu with seating at Chef’s table. Food at Muse is amazingly delicious start to finish. Each dish represents a sweet reflection of Chef’s life experiences, a great way for you to become a part of that experience in some way Service is top notch. Oh and you will not leave empty handed :
Muse by Tom Aikens is an eight course, or five if you so choose, beautifully plated journey through Chef Tom’s memory. From moment you cross the threshold into the restaurant, the thought and care behind the experience is palpably evident. I went with both the classic wine pairing and the longer, eight course lunch tasting menu. The whole affair lasted over three hours. I had the privilege to sit at the chef’s counter and watch the kitchen at work. My favourite course is “Total Black Out” which is a cuttlefish centred dish. Perfectly hashed and flamed torched, the cuttlefish sat on a bed of cuttlefish risotto and surrounded by one of the best broths I think I’ve ever had. One of the desserts presented was a Laphroaig gummy. I wish I had a metric ton of them; it was so good.
A truly wonderful meal and even got to meet the man himself! Every element was just perfect and they were really accommodating to my rather difficult dietary requirements. The fact that I enjoyed ingredients that I'm normally not a huge fan of was a true testament to their kitchen skills. Really cool place inside, much smaller and more intimate than I was expecting. Incredible wine pairings too. All in all, fantastic.
Wonderful dining experience in this hidden treasure. From the warm, friendly welcome to the delicious and surprising flavours and textures not to mention the beautiful presentation, this restaurant achieves all the notes that make it a place to return to again and again. Being able to sit at the counter and watch the food prep is like MasterChef the Professionals live - a lovely bonus. Vegetarian options: Vegetarians catered for. Dietary restrictions: Dietary restrictions catered for.
So much food! We had the tasting menu along with the wine pairings. Food was fantastic! The service was impeccable. From the bread, the escargots, lamb, and petit fours, everything had a beautiful aesthetic and tasted delicious. It is pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.
Visited to take my parents for a joint birthday celebration. Faultless from start to finish. Service, food, staff, ambience were all incredible. Having Mr A himself in and around the kitchen - serving, prepping etc. added to the whole thing. Not bringing home the kind of wages that would allow me to do this everyday, but if I could I very much would. Outstanding day had by all.
Tom Aikens is one of my favourite British chefs. He is a very talented chef. We had the lunch tasting menu. The restaurant is located in a quiet mews with no name signing outside but easy to find . We came half an hour early and received a warm welcome and we were seated quickly. The canapé " forever picking" was full of flavours like a bomb immediately opened our appetite. Then we had " making breaking" sourdough with fermented butter and mushroomy butter with puffy crunchy rice. They were like cellos playing soothing music to comfort our stomach. We were very satisfied. The main dishes were skate fish and pork. The best dish of the day was their dessert: An apple a day. Wow what a dish! Layer after layer of different flavours and ice cream with caramelized sugar how clever is that! Overall , we had a good time here , and we will come back soon for dinner!
