Very quiet pub. Not sure what it is like on a weekend as I went on a Tuesday night. Pub has a pool table at the back and a dart board and a few cash machines. staff seem to be friendly
Great locala proper one. Using it for years. good beer. The Guv's Irish so you'll be hard pushed to get a better pint of Guiness. Lovely staff and great crowd who use it. Proper proper local
There’s a bar lady called Tracey , she is so beautiful and amazing person , this is the best best pub x
This is a proper boozer. One of the few remaining in London. Tracey and Adam behind the bar will make you feel welcome and the prices are amazingly low! Pool table, music, live sport. What more could you want!?! Fully recommend the Guinness too, which is even rarer!
Although the pub looks really nice, unfortunately they attract far too many troublemakers. Some 'Customers' are often seen fighting and shouting in the streets, especially after midnight. The owners seem to have no ability to promote respect for the community and neighbourhood. It seems there is a certain quality of people attracted to this particular pub and not the neighboring ones. That's a great shame!
Proper pub. One of the few remaining in the area
A proper pub in the real sense of the word. No fakery, gimmicks or twee wallpaper bookshelves here. The horseshoe bar is original and serves to make everyone feel part of the ‘craic’. Excellent beer at inexpensive prices. A diverse crowd, reflective of the neighbourhood. There is a steady bunch of regulars who come armed with a ready wit that will have you in stitches. I love the way Tracey and her staff make everybody feel as if the are part of the family - regulars and newcomers alike. Next time you are in Newington Green, pop in for a pint. The Guinness is like nectar.
Had a worst pint of Guinness in my life what a disappointing experience.
Nice pub,lovely,friendly staff,but I doñ't like the pool table=not a good table! Fran
Proper old style pub , a locals pub where everyone is welcome. A pleasant no nonsense pub with pool table, games machine and Internet duke box. Going in there a few years now and always been welcome . Live music and disco, be prepared to have a laugh
