Awesome little neighbourhood boozer in the heart of De Beauvoir. Crisp selection is on point, darts , board games, show the football at the weekends and have Stone & Wood on tap. Plus there’s a nice little outdoor space. Good crowd of regulars too.Atmosphere: 5/5
Do you want the Britishs' Sunday roast at a local pub? We enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service.Food: 5/5
Came here for a Sunday roast. I had the vegetarian mushroom wellington and my partner had the lamb. We both enjoyed our meals and the overall vibe. The weather was really nice so we were able to comfortably eat in the garden. The sticky toffee pudding was also amazing. It's nice to find a good veg Sunday roast that isn't boring. I believe there was a vegan roast as well. Friendly staff as well and solid beer selection - even had multiple non-alcoholic beer options. Vegetarian options: Very good and not lacking creativity. Highly recommended for a vegetarian Sunday roast.
I had the pork Sunday roast and a sticky toffee pudding for dessert. All in all, the roast was okay. Unfortunately, it's a little bland for my taste. A little salt and pepper helped a long way. What I couldn’t change was the temperature. Upon arrival, my plate was quite cold. I saw the steam coming from my food, so surely the food wouldn’t be cold. The meat and some veggies were warm, but the whole dish quickly became cold. The potatoes were cold and dry, too. I wholeheartedly recommend the sticky toffee pudding. It was very delicious and not too sweet. The plate and the dessert were pleasantly warm. The service was fantastic, all around a pleasant crew.
One of our favourite Sunday roasts! Pub was very busy and bustling. Wait time was a bit long but the staff were very nice and everyone was helpful. The Sunday roast was delicious and very filling. We will be back for sure. Thank you for great service!Food: 4/5
One of the best, if not the best actually, pub dinners I’ve had in London! The food was outstanding, super fresh with quality ingredients and a ‘classier’ spin on traditional pub food. The restaurant itself is cosy and welcoming and the staff really attentive. Couldn’t recommend more!
Really good sunday roast and food. Small quantity of meat though. Would still recommend nice vibes and outdoor when sunny!Food: 4/5
Great pub. I walked this time in and the room with all the team pictures on the wall is quite fun to dine in with friends, family or colleagues.Food: 4/5
The Scolt is my go to place to bring friends from outside of London or the UK to try a really good quality pub food! Or to catch up with friends. I used to live nearby but even after I changed home I still love going there. I brought some friends earlier this week, we ordered the burger, fish&chips, the steak and the chicken parmigiana. Everyone was super impressed! I quite like that the quality of the food is always consistent so I’ve never been disappointed. In general, my personal favourite is their Sunday roast which is glorious for a lazy Sunday afternoon, but honestly I can say that all that I’ve tried there is always good, abundant, freshly cooked and with great ingredients. Special mention goes to the sticky toffee pudding which I rarely skip…it’s heaven! Otherwise the atmosphere is nicely busy and lively but I’ve also caught it more quiet - I like it both ways. Highly recommend!
A really good place ..great vibe , food and local beers Took one star off due to the fact that one had to go into the beer garden which really is very beautiful...secluded from the ravages of Islington/Hackney to get away from the level of music played inside the pub. Can't ever get my head around why playing the volume at '11' is the establishment's way of thinking that this is the 'perfect environment'- Fortunately the weather was not too cold ...but really guys ..? If you play the music at 6 or 7 ...people will still come....you might even get more people frequenting the pub.... Try it-no?
