Loved our little meal out. Cheap and cheerful, super lovely sraff serving us and board games to entertain whilst we waited. Helpful with choosing too and will definitely be going back. The staff were super and the food was lovely! £10 burger and drink deal was great not all burgers but some!

Canonbury  £5.20 Heineken Victorian splendour with a modern day twist. . The Cellar Taps is located in Newington Green and is just a stones throw away from the leafy green that gives this area its name. The nearest station is Canonbury which is a five minute stroll away. . Built in 1868, this recently renovated pub still maintains some original features and clues to the pub’s heritage. Firstly, you have the pub’s original name, The Edinburgh Tavern which is lettered down the corner of the pub. Then the multiple entrance’s, this now one bar pub would have had a public, saloon and billiard room. Be sure to enter this pub by the left side door to see the beautiful Victorian tiled entrance. . The decor here has a contemporary mix of new and old. The stand out features for me are the columns, ceiling, back bar woodwork and the large atrium in the once billiard room at the back of the bar. The large picture windows flood the bar with light which makes for a bright and airy feel. There are some modern touches like the wallpaper, pendant lighting and multiple screens showing live sport. . The beer choice was good, there is lots to choose from including four cask and several craft options. I opted for a Heineken, my pint was great and reasonably priced at just over a fiver. The food menu is full of comfort food with an emphasis on Burgers and Wings, a bacon and cheese burger with skinny fries costs £13.50. . I really enjoyed the atmosphere here, there is a nice buzz around the main bar area with a more chilled vibe at the rear of the bar. The clientele was a good mix of young and old and the service was great. The staff here were chatty and personable and clearly enjoyed what they do. . The @thecellartapsnewingtongreen was an excellent visit, I loved the pub and the vibe here. The beer and food options are good and the price point is great. The decor is vibrant and you’ll be well looked after by the team here. Get this pub on 2023 calendar. . ℹ Info correct on visiting 15/10/22
I just had my sons first birthday party at the cellar taps and we had a great experience and couldn’t recommend it enough as a party venue. Jose was so accommodating and the staff were also excellent on the day. There were 50 of us there and we had the whole back section to ourselves. It is a beautifully bright room and we were allowed to arrange it and decorate as we pleased. It’s so rare to be able to get a private space like that in London. The food was delicious and the varied menu worked well for people ordering things throughout the day. Couldn’t recommend them enough!
A culture of pure humanity is a powerful biz tool...probs the most. The lady behind the bar and I have a chat as she painstakingly makes the most delicious soda water with fresh lime of my long life so far. Then she announces no charge for soda, and I have no cash to tip her. Well, please do me a solid and come here and enjoy the sublime looking stuff they do charge for. The culture here is pure humanity...and I love it
Great selection on quality beers and very friendly staff! Great atmosphere, Food was solid, Great place to relax or catch a game on their TV's. Will definitely come back as every time we are there we have a blast!
Came here in a big group for a meal and a few drinks and was very dissatisfied with the food. The chips were very greasy, the burgers were dry and the burrito bowl tasted like it used cheap microwave rice as it had no flavour :
Amazing place, from the food to the staff it is top quality. The staff remember me by name and I’ve only been there twice. A great place for both a big meal or just a quick drink out. Absolutely nothing bad to say and will definitely be coming again xx Quick shout out to Kirsty who makes everyone feel welcome, she’s an absolute legend!!
OMG seriously mouth watering burgers - I had the grilled chicken. And the 2-4-1 cocktails were delicious. The 4 stars is only for another customers dog running around under tables. Nothing against dogs, but not whilst I'm eating.
The staff on the day Sunday 22 Jan 2023 although friendly their honesty is somewhat lacking. I left my cigarettes on the table by my friend and his daughters no one else was around when I came back the cigarettes were gone, I asked them to check their rubbish bins and they said the cigarettes weren't there, went back over to where I was sitting looked around and still could not find them. When I said could I see and manager and have the manager check the CCTV all of a sudden the barman goes to where I'd checked and they miraculously they appeared, fun that. Pt2 So you say they fell off the table and went underneath, fair enough what time on Tuesday do you want me to come over and see the CCTV?
