The Wallace Collection is a true gem in London! This museum, housed in a magnificent former London townhouse in Marylebone, holds a truly great collection of art—from Old Master paintings like Fragonard's The Swing to princely arms and armour. The best part? Entry to the permanent collection is absolutely free. It's an essential visit for anyone strolling through the Marylebone area looking for world-class culture without the price tag. Must visit!
I hadnt heard of this place until shortly before my visit. I truly regret not coming here sooner. Its one of the most interesting collections ive seen.nnTheres a huge amount of high quality furtniture, art and armour. Theres so much i had to make time in my trip for a second visit just to see everything.nnThe lockers are free.nEntry is free.nnIts one of the best value and most dense museums in London.nnCouldn't recommend more
Great place to visit, beautiful and rich selection of historic artefacts and art.nnBloomberg app recommended for self-guided tour. Planning to go there again soon for a tea at the restaurant, seemed popular.nnThe museum is free but £10 donation is strongly encouraged.
Very impressive and interesting collection, with some famous Easter eggs. Surprised that it’s free. Appreciated that it was uncrowded. Peaceful vibe inside. Lockers downstairs. There’s a nice cafe in the indoor courtyard as well, though I didn’t try it. Enjoyed this more than the British Museum!
Gorgeous collection, very worth visiting, situated in a lovely neighbourhood toonnVery well maintained and managed collections, gorgeous art pieces and stunning clocks, each room takes you back to the 17th century!nnIn the ground floor there’s also displays of armoury and rifles.nnThey also have a cafe section for you to enjoy food and drinks.nnVery much enjoyed my visit today
