Enjoyed the visit, but I was expecting a bit more. The house is divided in 3 floors, first floor, is the guided tour which is some explanation of two rooms. Floors 2 and 3 are at your own pace without any explanation or details.nnThere used to be an audio guide, which for some reason was removed, and offered details that not all guides mention. One guide completely missed it, out of curiosity I asked about some numbers and I was explained what I wrote above.nnI like Sherlock Holmes, but I’m not a big fan, to me the price is way too expensive for what it really is. Even with the tour, and looking at all floors and reading the bit of information, you wouldn’t spend here more than 30-45 minutes.nnDespite all that, the interiors are impressive, resembling almost perfectly the Victorian times. I quite enjoyed the trip back in time!nnStill I wouldn’t visit again.
One of the cutest places in London. I felt the same charm the books and films always give me, it was truly a magical experience to be there. It was like visiting a different world for a moment. Truly adorable place. If you’re a Sherlock Holmes fan and spend some time nearby, you have to pay a visit!!
Nice house, dated from the same era as the writer and his famous charactersSherlock and Watson.Everything is well preserved and plenty of souvenirs at the next door shop. Enjoyed the visit and the staff was very helpful and offered information to the visitors.
An average visit takes 30-45 minutes; however you may spend longer hours in queue so be considering. If you don't have many time in London, I suggest to skip this so-touristy-place. After a short introduction the you will be self-guided over 3 floors and some small rooms full of people and items with no proper explanation. Personally I think my experience with Sherlock Holmes Museum on my last day was quite disappointed after spending 2 weeks in London and visiting so many amazing places
A must visit by all fans of Sherlock. Lots of intriguing memorabilia, books, hats, pens, puzzles e.t.c. Very helpful and friendly staff. Nicely decorated with fitting the ambiance of the time
