Cheaper to buy tickets from the shop. The memorabilia shop is fantastic the museum is absolutely incredible such a beautiful building and an amazing tribute to the Sherlock stepwise throughout the years. Loved it. Perfect for Sherlock fans
I visited the Sherlock Holmes Museum on a Monday, and it was a wonderful experience! I’d recommend buying tickets in advance, as the queue can get quite long. Inside, they do a great job of limiting the number of guests, so it doesn’t feel crowded. The tour is fairly short, around 10-15 minutes per floor, but it's packed with fascinating details. Videos aren't allowed inside the rooms, so I could only take a few on the stairs. The staff at the entrance were super friendly and even let me take photos with them. A must-visit for any Sherlock Holmes fan!
A visit to the Sherlock Holmes Museum is a delightful experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming, adding to the charm of this unique spot. Although the museum is fairly small, it’s filled with fascinating displays and memorabilia that truly bring Sherlock Holmes’s world to life. The wait time in line is moderate, so I’d recommend purchasing tickets online to save time. Overall, a must-visit for fans of the famous detective!
I visited the Sherlock Holmes Museum, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The museum perfectly captures the essence of Victorian London, bringing the world of Sherlock Holmes to life in the most authentic way possible.nnFrom the moment I stepped inside, I felt as though I had entered 221B Baker Street itself. The attention to detail is remarkable, with each room meticulously decorated to reflect the era and Holmes’ unique character. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and added an extra layer of immersion with their period costumes and engaging storytelling.nnOne of the highlights for me was the opportunity to see the famous study where Holmes and Dr. Watson solved their mysteries. The display of artifacts, including letters, personal items, and references to the famous cases, was fascinating and really helped to paint a picture of the detective’s life.nnI also appreciated the informative descriptions and the careful preservation of the items on display. Whether you're a long-time fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s works or simply interested in a bit of London’s history, this museum is a must-visit.nnOverall, the Sherlock Holmes Museum offers a charming and immersive experience that any literature lover or history enthusiast will thoroughly enjoy. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting London!
Staff in both the museum and gift shop were very friendly. Due to some delays we were unable to arrive on time for our pre-booked ticket, but there were no problems with allowing us to come in with the next group as if we bought tickets normally. We had a nice chat with some staff members, and the explanation they provided on exhibitions was amazing. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
