If you are a fan of Secret of the Underground. Then book a visit. Surprising popular. See transport of the past . You sit and climb into experience and you imagine yesterday's travel.nOutside see a bit more,nOutside pop up food stalls, no transport sandwiches here. You like us found your nearest station or favorite football team. Not really wheelchair friendly to upstairs. Saw only a small stair lift. Can get busy around exhibits. If you have pre booked and got there early. Wait for your time slot.nGreat gift shop but busy around the till
We joined a family tour session for my son’s 6th birthday party. He took 6 friends and a few adults. Everyone really enjoyed it. Lauren our guide was amazing with the children. It’s like she had Jedi powers. Her energy and enthusiasm was captivating, and her words very thoughtfully chosen. She entertained, educated and kept us all in line. Logistics guru Keith was also on hand providing some extra insight for some of us more curious adults.nnThe collection itself is amazing. We’ve been before, and we’ll go again. Thoroughly recommend this jewel on the crown of London’s history.
Very very interesting….. the history of the London Underground and London Transport though history all under one roof. I would love to be apart of the London Transport family. I visited here in April 2024 for there Depot open day , this is my second visit and I will never tire of going…. You just can not see it all in one day ….. I am planning my next open day visit….. all dates and times are easy to find on there website highly recommended and coupled with a Hidden London Tour at Baker Street station the same day again highly recommend and a big thank you to the friendly/ knowledgeable team and all involved at both events. See you again soon.
A really great to come on your own if you love trains with family and kids if they love trains and to learn about history of tfl, tubes and London in general. Open days are not every week so you need to check online. Book in advance or pay on the door. Great exhibits and almost evert tube train ever and busses. Helpful staff and even have dedicated SEN friendly sessions.nnGift shop likes cash... FYI!
I booked a place on the Discovery Tour and its a great way to spend half a day if you have any interest in transport, London history, or the vehicles themselves. Very friendly and knowledgeable guides take you through the history of transport in London with the actual vehicles as illustration. Other tours are available if you have a specific interest. Check out the London Transport Museum website for more information and dates.
