Nice place, they actually manage to make the old building & beams thing work on the whole. The open fire looked especially lovely. I went for Sunday lunch with a veggie. We both had roasts, my partner a veggie one, I couldn't choose between the roasts so they offered a mixed one (not normally a good thing, but I couldn't choose and it was a good compromise). My partner's veggie roast was very good, tasty and full of texture. My mix of 3 meats were all excellent and perfectly cooked (they do ask whether you want it pink of well done which is good - pink all the way). The crackling with the pork was amazing, but the stand out was the beef, tender and gorgeously tasty. The Yorkshire was large and well done. The roasties were great quality, and the rest of the veg and gravy were top notch too. Match this with great, friendly service and it made for a great lunch. Definitely worth the drive from Oxford. Will be back.

Another great meal at The Thatch in Thame. Three of us booked in for dinner, we each had something different and all three dishes were delicious. The local cheeses were gorgeous, great idea to have a smidgen of one type rather than a whole cheeseboard. Excellent decaf coffee too. I'd recommend The Thatch for coffee, lunch or dinner; great food and friendly service.

We received a very warm welcome at The Thatch. Decent selection of local beer and a number of locally-sourced items on food menu with good choice of specials. No children's menu - but they will make half portions of anything on main menu which was perfect. Staff very helpful and nothing too much trouble.
