My crewmate and I decided to start the day properly with an English breakfast and Tea at What's Cooking. We were served by Hannah, Charlotte, Annabel and Abby. Service was prompt, polite and professional. All staff were friendly. The food was excellent quality, temperature and taste. The higher price was a fair exchange for high quality ingredients. The general manager was lovely, as were all the girls. Whats cooking is the best start to a working day. I will be back with my fiancé on my day off. Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options, and they aren't simple substitutions either. They're proper options. Parking: Street parking is limited but available. Wheelchair accessibility: No thresholds.
Great little choice shop with friendly staff and delicious cakes. Would recommend mocha. The salads looked great too. Not exactly cheap, but then it's fancy town in ChilternsFood: 5/5
Reliably good food, fresh and delivered each day to my film studio in Haddenham. I order lunches for my clients and their food is always commented upon for quality, freshness and variety. During the summer they even did a bbq inspired lunch to us to have while filming in a meadow near Thame. All dietary requirements are careful considered. Would definitely recommend What’s Cooking for any local businesses needing client catering.
I picked this place to RV with my brother for a coffee and a catch up. It was perfect, we were on motor bikes so having parking and seating outside is a must. The coffee was great and after observing the 2 mins silence beautifully observed in the town we went for a ride and returned later for a delicious lunch scotch egg with two excellent salad sides. It's popular so the queue built up a couple of times whilst we were there but the staff were charming and efficient. Well worth a stop. As is Thame itself, a charming, bustling little town.
Amazing place and delicious cakes. Their coffee is superb! Staff is lovely and super helpful, especially when it comes to allergies. I will be back again and highly recommend to anyone who visits Thame.Food: 5/5
Lovely little deli/ cafe with seating outside that catches the afternoon sun . Food freshly prepared and delicious. Very friendly staff and excellent coffee. I had and amazing steak sandwich which had sliced pickled red onions on which are not my favourite but these really worked with the steak
Small quiet space at the back with only 4 tables, and often people popping by to see if there was space. The atmosphere is very friendly with quiet conversations and the bustle of the counter. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and the food / drink selection is good. Prices are reasonable too. Service was quick, presentation amazing and the taste was lush. Hot chocolate was velvety and croissant was light and crumbly. Good selection of cakes and warm food too. Keeping this little jem to ourselves and definitely will be back. Vegetarian options: Range of vegetarian and vegan options
Went here twice in a week - the coffee was excellent, and the food even better. Had the shakshuka which was sensational - the veggie breakfast also amazing. Staff were kind, lovely, and respecting Covid safety too. Can't wait to return.
I have been frequenting What’s Cooking on and off for a while and very passionate about supporting non chain businesses! But I’m afraid I will only partake in purchasing one of what’s cooking coffees from now on. I very recently had lunch which consisted of a ham and cheese panini with a side of salad and a regular coffee , coffee lovely as usual, panini lovely , side salad lovely although portion very small !! So have had the same lunch for past three weeks , various prices I have been charged! From £17.40 and last time £19.40 ? I know there is a cost of living crisis, but these prices are way too high !! Vegetarian options: Lovely salads and vegetarian sausage rolls !!
We came here as they were closing, so we just got a takeaway cake. There was a lovely selection of cakes, and I had trouble deciding what to have. Ended up with a chocolate cake, which was moist and delicious.Food: 5/5
