Excellent pub food and beer. Newly refurbished very tastefully. At the higher end of pub prices but worth it.

The Taverners is a very good resistant and pub it always has a variety of locally produced and seasonal food on the menu which is also very reasonably priced. If you're a dog owner like me you will also appreciate being able to take your dog with you, as The Taverners is a dog friendly venue. The staff are all lovely and welcoming.

Friendly staff, great food and nothing-is-too-much-trouble service. Dog friendly too! Brilliant.

Basic pub food, in my case beef and suet pie, not many chips with it, beef a bit chewy. Staff are very friendly and you make to feel welcome, always book online or by phone well ahead as it is very popular. If you are over 6ft you will have to learn to duck quickly ;)
