We were served by Kelly. She was very attentive!!. Food was delicious. We ordered fish and chips. Fish was massive! Quiet on Friday early evening beginning of January. Just what we needed. A must stop when visiting the Isle of White.

Really friendly helpful staff, slightly more expensive than other pubs on the food prices. Food tasted nice, not sure how much of it was prepared onsite. Sadly one of the three meals ordered was cold, the Chicken and Ham pie was luke warm, the pulled lamb shepherds pie was hot, but the vegetables were cold. Having waited nearly 50 minutes for the food to arrive and needing to leave to get to the theatre in the next 30 minutes we declined the offer of reheating the food.

Whilst recently visiting family we discovered the Crab. We decided to eat at lunch time. Out of all the pubs or cafes we ate at this has to be one of the best on the entire island. Considering we had two adults and three very hungry children our entire meal and drinks was just a little over £60 and the children had desert as well.nnThe food was amazing see images. We can highly recommend the burgers, kids meals and the king prawn and risotto.nnThe service was a little slow however the entire island is on a different time line. The way of life down here is much slower compared if you lived in a big city on the main land. We enjoyed our drinks looking at the building which boasts a thatched roof and lovely little village whilst we waited.nnThis is a highly recommended place to visit for lunch.

Very nice restaurant in a picturesque town, great ambiance inside and put. The staff very pleasant, kind and accommodating. We really enjoyed the Beef Rib Bourguignon which was most delicious, flavorful and tender. Pigs in Blankets were tasty. We were pleased to find that an adult can order from a kids menu, Roast Sirloin of Beef had all the trimmings, and was more than sufficient for me, I found the roast slightly tough. Despite the restaurant’s name, the items on the menu are mainly land based, and we found the fish and chips not the best. However, there are plenty of items on the menu to choose from, and I would recommend this restaurant for its ambience, nice drinks and amazing staff .

Food took quite a long while so I can’t give it a 4/5. However my chicken schnitzel was absolutely delicious once I got it! Very reliable and tasty dish nothing less from a Greene King. Hope they get more help in the kitchen because it does really put a downer on the experience.
