Me and my partner decided to finally try out the food at The swan in radcot yesterday after driving past it numerous times. It's safe to say we were so disappointed! When we were ordering our drinks, there were plenty of staff behind the bar but it was very clear from the get go that they didn't have a clue what was going on. They were being asked questions about the food on their menu and they had to keep running back and forth to the chef as they were clueless, they were arguing with one another and it was a very unprofessional atmosphere. We both decided that we wanted chicken Caesar salad, we asked if it was just chicken as sometimes pubs/restaurants like to add fish too. After the barman had asked the chef about this, we were told they'd only be chicken on our salads. Once we'd waited for what felt like forever our salads were brought to us with fish on too which the waiter said 'I know you asked for it without fish but do you mind? The chef will go mad'. Of course we minded otherwise we wouldn't have asked so he took the salads away, removed the fish and brought them straight back out. The whole salad still tasted of fish and what was worse was that one of the salads had a hair in it, not a delicacy we were expecting! We then sat there listening to the live band for around 2 hours, in this time our plates were not collected so we could not speak to the staff about how disappointed we were. We will not be returning!
