The Cotswold Plough Hotel & Restaurant has a friendly, informal and relaxed atmosphere.

The 16th Century house is a hidden Cotswold gem to enjoy with family, friends and colleagues. Situated on the east edge of the Cotsworlds in the picturesque village of Clanfield; The Cotswold Plough is the nearest hotel to Kelmscott Manor home to William Morris in 1878. The hotel is perfectly located to explore landmark Cotswold towns, the rolling countryside and the ‘Dreaming Spires’ of Oxford.

First impressions were not good. The hotel looked unkept and the bar very cold. The staff were very helpful and lit the fire but it was almost too late. The Sunday lunch was excellent though. The whole impression was one of a hotel needing a good overhaul.

Have not stayed there, but used their restaurant. Superb food and service. They also have the original gin pantry.

The Plough always nice atmosphere. Only stopped for a drink,but the Sunday roast looked and smelt great.

A beautiful pub from the 1600s with loads of fun options. Has a really nice country vibe about it

Food was fantastic and the Gin selection was the best I've ever seen. Service was excellent and staff were incredibly polite and helpful. Gin tastings and making experiences are available.
