This is an unpretentious but relaxed, warm and friendly place to stay. The rooms are pleasant and comfortable although not remarkable. The menu isn’t extensive but the food is carefully prepared and it’s well worth choosing the more adventurous dishes. The wine list isn’t huge but the wines are well-chosen and won’t break the bank. The breakfasts are a little disappointing. A good place for a relaxing one or two day break.

We had a lovely dinner last night after the new landlord sent us a food discount voucher. We had a great wine from the bin end list, lovely relaxed but attentive service throughout and the food was delicious and a good portion size. Bravo, we'll be back!

Had a good meal, lamb rump, pollock, rump steak and fish & chips. Quite good value and a reasonable wine list. Meal was unrushed that some might find a bit slow. Overall a good experience and will return.

Warm friendly atmosphere, serving delicious food. Comfy bed in rooms of high standard .look forward to our next visit.
