I recently visited The Shard, and the experience was unforgettable. The panoramic views from the observation deck are breathtaking, offering a stunning perspective of London's iconic skyline. The hospitality was top-notch, with staff members ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit. And yes, the view from the men's toilet is hilariously impressive – who knew such a mundane place could offer such a spectacular vista? It's a quirky, memorable touch that adds to the overall charm of The Shard. Highly recommended for both the scenery and the service!
An amazing experience. The stages are; 1. Go past security who check your bags and then walk up some steps to the gift shop. 2. At the side of the gift shop show your tickets and pass through to get your photograph taken. You can buy this later in the gift shop. 3. Short queue for the first lift that takes you to level 33. 4. Short queue for the lift that takes you from level 33 to level 68. 5. You can walk 360 around level on level 68. 6. Then you can walk up to level 72 grass on the floor. This is the sky level. It is semi open. Many people miss this level. 7. To come back down, walk down from level 72 to 68, and get the two lifts.
I got some tickets through a voucher exchange. Great way to explore the city views without the need to book a table at one of the expensive bars or restaurants. There is a bar anyway for those who wish to enjoy a drink. I personally didn't like the fact that people were sitting on the floor on the top floor. If that's the idea, considering the floor was made of fake grass I think it's terrible. Just put some tables and chairs at least. I also think the corridors to access the lifts to go up could do with a better decoration, just to make it a bit more welcoming. The staff were lovely, informative and polite. We managed to enter before our time slot which I appreciate. I also found the souvenirs cheap considering it's location.
The staff was super welcoming, the elevator takes you really fast to the top and the view is absolutely stunning. It is definitely worth the price you have to pay. But I would recommend going when the weather has a light breeze of wind with lots of sun, trough that you can see everything so clearly from above. I had a vegan mango ice cream with caramel sauce and enjoyed it on the rooftop. So beautiful. I highly recommend going because trust me you will not regret seeing the beautiful view from the top.
Staff are friendly and helpful. View's are amazing. We had a very clear day and could see a very long way. Makes you appreciate the size of London and the path of the Thames River. Just over £28 but worth every bit and so much higher than the London Eye didn't do the eye as booked tickets on line only to find you still just join the end of the two hour que!. There is an inside viewable area after a few more steps a more outdoor area as well. Highly recommended
I was at Aqua Shard Restaurant. It's recommended to have a reservation. I had one for 20:30 and at 20:20 our table was ready. The atmosphere it's very nice and the view perfect. Unfortunately, they don't have tables for 3 near the windows, but only for 2from what I understand. Everything else was super super ok. I recommend if you want to have a nice experience in London
Went for afternoon tea, the Peter Pan, lovely experience. Weather was nice so views were very good. Food was excellent and the service brilliant. Was expensive but you get what you pay for. Absolutely worth visiting the tallest tower of western Europe. The best panoramic view, makes London to look like a playground below your feet. You can relax and you can spend as much time as you wish. In addition, you can take lots of photos through the crystal clear windows. Very nice experience.Visited onWeekendWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedYes
Even with a fear of hights I really enjoyed it after having to grab onto every single beam and table for the first 10 minutes. It's a very impressive view of London. Just make sure the weather isn't too bad. You can even enjoy it from the toilet, no one can look into the room anyways so no worry there. The elevator showing a 24 hours cycle of London is a nice little detail. The mock- and cocktails at the bar are also good.
Amazing views! There are different options at the shard. There are restaurants and there is a viewing deck. The viewing deck is separate from the restaurants. In July 2024 it cost about £32 British pounds to go to the viewing deck per person. It's locked at level 72. We chose to book a reservation at the SKY LOUNGE restaurant. It is located on the 35th floor. Beautiful view no matter where you sit. All tables have a view. The pricing is on the high side, £25 English pounds for a cocktail and another £25 for appetizer ++ dinner. When you book a reservation you don't have to pay to get to the restaurant but do have. A minimum £30/per person spend requirement. Time limit is 1 1/2 hours and they do stick to that. Food was delicious and cocktails were very good! Once we were done we took another elevator/lift to the second bar/restaurant located on the 52nd floor the GONG. Here we just stayed for a cocktail to see the sunset and view the city at night. Here too there is a 1 1/2 hours time limit. Definitely not a place to go if you are on a budget . We enjoyed it very much and the views were gorgeous! Even when some clouds came in, they were gone as fast as they came. It was a great experience and would highly recommend it.
