At least one of these 2 road jobs should have been done now, but neither. WHAT REALLY GETS TO ME is That The City Engineers are allowing this. L82 with Fanshawe & Richmond and Exeter & Whiteoaks is doing which job while traffic backs up on other? Richmond should have been done at least a month ago but L82 keeps moving back and forth to Exeter and back and back. Finish a job and quit screwing up Traffic on another. This is costing Londoners big time and it should not happen. Leaving barricades up while doing nothing is bad business. Niagara Region replaced a contractor doing this. A GOOD PART OF THIS PROBLEM IS DEARTH OF PAVING CONTRACTORS. THE CITY WOULD SAVE MILLIONS DOING A LOT OF THE PAVING IN LONDON ITSELF ... HIRING FROM SAME POOL AS CONTRACTORS, LEASING OR BUYING EQUIPMENT WITH SAVINGS TO SAVE MORE IN FUTURE. London NEEDS more FIRE PROTECTION both N and S of The BRIDGE. Recent closure of The Bridge led to over 5KM of SOLID TRAFFIC into Byron from Wonderland. London West will start to choke once construction starts on Wharncliffe. London needs a bridge between Sanatorium and Wonderland. 5PM on Friday and London Transit stuck in traffic lined up from Fabricland north to The Bridge and on to Oxford. Waiting at least 5 Lights to cross Bridge. IMAGINE ROADS WITHOUT POTHOLES. IMAGINE SEEING ROAD HOLES DISAPPEAR IN UNDER 5 MINUTES AND A MILE OF LONDON STREET TURN INTO A SMOOTH PLEASURE IN AS LITTLE AS A DAY... sent an email to 2 members of council regarding an incredible machine. Also tried to put the idea in front of a sweeping contractor but just 1 member returned and said it was a good idea. Look up PYTHON 5000 on internet and you will see nothing but cudos. All kinds of YouTube videos from all over the world as well as a few cities away. The PYTHON 5000 is a 1 man pothole patcher than can make a pothole permanently disappear in 3 minutes.... winter or summer. The City uses cold patching to fix potholes in winter. A method that is temporary at best and a waste of time, money and effort. $600K. Built in Saskatoon Canada.
City Crews came, inspected, and then removed a 16’ foot, Tree Branch that had become suspended by the Guide Wire after a mammoth Gust of Wind tore it from the 50’ tree out on Grand Ave. The Crew was incredible as they carefully removed the huge branch. When people Dis the City Politician’s… REMEMBER THE HARD WORKING CREWS Out there cleaning up and Keeping the City Functioning, Thank You City Employees, Thank You ‼
If we could somehow find a way to enforce existing laws. There would be no need to increase property taxes. Every single time a traffic light changes in this city at minimum 3 cars will go through a solid red, to the extent that people are now scared to drive through green lights. Imagine if each one of those drivers were fined properly. Talk about a cash cow. You could actually help people. Shame on all of you, its crazy how society slips when there is no law enforcement. Drivers think this is normal, an actual expectation that you should drive through a red light. So many more problems as well Shame Shame
Has city hall stopped collecting property taxes? If not then why would garbage pick up be limited to twice a month? What exactly am I paying property taxes for if not garbage pickup once a week? The limiting of garbage pickup has nothing to do with waste and everything to do with curtailing consumption. Enough with the social engineering and just run the city to the benefit of its inhabitants. Please!
This city is a joke… LPS/By-Law take a LONG time to respond to non-emergency situations that require mediation. They don’t care about anything, didn’t funding just increase too? Poor construction planning and using concrete to separate bike lanes from the road especially those islands. The roads are crumbling, and pot hole filling just doesn’t cut it. Wasting money and time on BRT when drug and mentally unwell people are going to run across the road even more now. There’s been a lot of accidents, some fatal, there at Wellington and Horton already I hate living in this city and wish it was affordable to move. What are my taxes seriously going to? London ON is behind on a lot of things, and plans for this city are now a pipe dream. Why are NEW roads uneven and crumbling already??? FIX THE ROADS!!!!!
Why is garbage coming twice a month? What a horrible decision, it is not my responsibility to put my dirty garbage in my car and throw it in my nearest dumpster or pay money… I hope there isn’t garbage all over the streets now due to this poor decision to save OUR tax payer money…
Utterly disgraceful mismanagement of public funds and leadership that is myopic at best. Property taxes said to be going up 30% over the next four years? What for? Inflated budgets and dubious make-work projects? DO NOT MOVE HERE. Londoners are increasingly talking about pulling up stakes and escaping from high crime, meth-head zombies sleeping in public areas, and the traffic is atrocious. Digging up the busy Richmond/Fanshawe corridor again? When will this headache ever stop?? The only thing that London city councilors do well is pander to the grovelling local business community while resident needs remain a bottom-shelf affair.
We don’t want anymore building in lambeth! No to the buildings on Pack rd and Bostwick. We know the special bond and love between you and York Developments but the ppl don’t want this!
I called into report that they were plowing off the path and destroying a walkway leaving it muddy very often. Incidentally I spent a bunch of hours raising the height of that walking past to stop the mud I have no idea why they started plowing that area again but I was told there used to be an asphalt path but they didn't for a decade so I called to see y'all talk to them they said that update the map they stopped plowing it for 2 years and now this year they're planning it again also the city is ripping up the grass beside the sidewalks this is due to drivers being on their phones I got a picture of one and then told them so I don't understand why anybody out they need to plow the sidewalks properly and stop referring to old maps when plowing off past or road whatever. Did you both work with Eric we're helpful however the problem is not resolved so...
These city workers are very lazy when it comes to land scraping and cleaning up parks they do half the job no idea were are taxes dollars go to and there call center people are very rude
