We went for afternoon tea. A beautiful hotel with views towards lake Windermere. With three varieties if finger sandwiches and loads of cakes and the scones are simply to die fot

Very impressed with this hotel in an area where the choice of hotels is so extensive, but much of it run of the mill. The Ryebeck is well situated with views of the lake from the terrace and dining room, and well maintained grounds provide a nice oasis of calm away from the bustle of the town. We did not dine here but breakfasts were of good quality with good selection of fruit and cereals from the buffet and freshly prepared cooked breakfasts to order.  Bedroom was spacious and fresh in decor. Bed was king sized and VERY comfortable. Bathroom with walk in shower was spotless.  Public areas had comfortable seating and residents bar (rather pricey hence only 4 stars). Lots of parking.  Staff friendly welcoming and helpful

Easily found from the main road, decent bathroom and fantastic view whilst eating the superb breakfast.

Being a guest at The Ryebeck Hotel is like being invited to an exclusive country party that nobody else knows about. The rooms are comfortably fitted out, in a stylish manner that remains functional. The food and service in the restaurant is second to none. I'm already looking forward to my next visit (but don't tell anyone, its our secret!)

Normally give the Ryebeck 5 stars but I was disappointed with my starter, the number of scallops I got for the price of the starter was very poor.
