A warm welcome and excellent service. The rooms are well appointed and in good condition. My 2 year old was well catered for and felt like she was living in a castle. Always a great break .

Wonderful Christmas package. The food was amazing, the staff very friendly. The Christmas package included dinner, breakfast, bucks fizz, a visit from Santa, a gift from the hotel and many other wonderful extras. The rooms are cosy and warm too

The hotel is set in lovely grounds with an interior to match. All of the bedrooms are very comfortable, and the lounge area is open to all guests (even if you don't want to order anything). The food served in the restaurant is amazing, with quite an extensive menu as well. The hotel staff were amazing as well. They were able to help with anything we needed.

Beautiful setting with wonderful views. Rooms were spacious and very clean. On a nice day you can sit out in the acres of garden space and soak in the atmosphere. The staff were very helpful too. My only regret was that I didn't stay there for long.

As part of our Lake District tour, we stopped for cream tea at this little hotel in Bowness, which was previously a home gifted by the children's writer Beatrix Potter to her mother. The house has beautiful gardens, outdoor seating and lovely old world furniture and furnishings. The typical English tea and scones were delicious. It definitely looks like a cosy yet luxurious place to stay.
