Very nice hotel! Actually the best I've stayed in the uk. Staff are helpful. Helped me to arrange my day tour and the restaurant there serve good food too.

We had our wedding at Linthwaite in 2015 - great day. Everything was done for us, as requested. Only niggle is that the groom wanted breakfast outside in the sun the next day because he had a dog. Wasn't allowed, and no good reason was given. Ended up sneaking food out. Felt like they had taken us for granted a little after the big day had finished.

Lovely mother's day afternoon tea with a great selection. Cakes were especially beautiful. Was abit disappointed that there was no baby changing facilities and was told to change my daughter on the floor in the ladies toilet. Overall didn't impact the enjoyment of our visit.

A beautiful property with very good service and fab food and drinks. Spread over a large area with little ponds, sheep, ducks etc all within the property. Service is 5 star - esp Nic. The sitting areas have a fantastic homely feel with large couches and cute decorations. The one thing that would make it even better for me would be a pool; though there is a tarn that I didn't try to swim in. (And maybe more TV channels ;) might defeat the whole idea of being here)
