Beautiful place in great gardens but very disappointing for the money. No atmosphere, miserable staff with little or no English, food was served in delightful settings but was cold and badly prepared, Beer was warm, iced water had no ice, tasted like tap water, first time we have ever been charged an additional £7 for a small serving of vegetables in a so called quality restaurant.

What a beautiful place with stunning views. The staff are so friendly and helpful this is a really good place to go and unwind will definitely be going back

Lovely location, really friendly staff. Rooms are big and both bedrooms and common areas are clean and tidy. Would definitely come again.

Stunning country house, beautiful gardens and scenery all around and a perfect location to explore Bowness, Lake Windermere or anywhere else in the Lake District! Staff were friendly and so helpful with any queries we had on where to go. Room was so cosy and bed was super comfy too!
