Absolutely love this place. So beautiful. I dont understand how anyone could have a negative opinion. We have visited plenty of times and it's always been 100%. The staff are on another level and provide a fantastic service. Food is always cooked perfectly and reaches you straight from the pot. As for the dog complaints, are you not aware of the Dog Friendly Lake District? Maybe you should try Cornwall, instead.. Complaints about the parking. Let's blame Bowness parking on the Boathouse, shall we.

Love sitting on the balcony looking out at the boats while drinking a nice glass of wine or a beer. Good food nice staff

Visited for mother's Day. Able to book a table in advance. Extensive menu. Lovely meal and reasonably priced. Good views over the marina

So I will start with the good points the service is good the food is nice and the view are fantastic but I spent most of my evening out clock watching because nowhere in bowness can you park without having to pay but for me I found every restaurant you eat at including this one has dogs in it no good if you suffer from allergys or fobias there are no signs in these places to say dog friendly places and the restaurants don't seem to have sections where you can eat without sharing ur personal space with them so if you love dogs yes a nice place to eat but otherwise no not for me
