Superb pub, came across it by accident on a trip out. The pub is in a sleepy village so quiet as you sit enjoying your meal. We sat outside and had a lovely meal with ambient music at a low level it made for a very pleasant stop. Staff were quick and courteous and the food was sensational. Would highly recommend for a meal or just for a drink as your passing.

Really impressed! Came for a meal with a friend, would recommend booking online as it looks like it gets busy! We had a starter to share and the ceased salad. Food was really yum. Service was great, our waiter was really kind and attentive. It’s really beautiful inside and plenty of parking. Will definitely be coming back!  Also came for sunday lunch and can confirm it was nice!

Very friendly staff and good service. The food is excellent, although there is a somewhat limited vegetarian selection. The place is very clean and the atmosphere is friendly.

I have never eaten here before but I will definitely be back.  The service and food were excellent and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere.  The food was delicious and the menu is varied.  Overall a lovely place to eat.  The waiting staff were outstanding.  Polite, efficient and they all look like they want to be there.  We'll done!

I have been here twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times I was really impressed with the food and the service. The menu has a lot of choices.  I haven't had to reserve a table yet, I just turned up and asked for a table for two, but it may be an idea to do so as it seems like a very popular spot.  The pub is in a great location, too. Highly recommend the red lion and I will definitely go back again. Thanks

I’ve been here a few times for a meal out with work and the food is always delicious and the staff are really friendly too!

Amazing food & atmosphere! The two lovely staff members were working double time after a colleague called in sick, but still found the time and energy for friendly chat and even snapping photos for other guests. Amazing work!

My Son and his girlfriend took us mum's for dinner for a mother's day treat. The food was great. I had the prawn linguine it was delicious. The service was good considering how full the restaurant was. I would recommend the red lion.

We visited as a large family party of 17, ranging from 2-80+. We were seated in our own area, which was ideal for us but also thoughtful of other customers. Service was prompt and attentive and the team, especially Freya - but also the manager - couldn't have been more helpful with extra cutlery/sauces etc, as well as checking on drinks and whether there was anything they could do for us regularly during the service. Food was good, with sensible, but generous, portions.

Food was good and staff friendly, but I asked for a change to my choice and everybody on the table who should have had fries, ended up with what I had chosen. Seems like the chef/cook couldn't be bothered to get the fries out of the freezer. A little over priced for the portion sizes too, but I am old and not used to this gastro stuff.
