Fantastic food, especially for meat lovers. You can order in many ways, including on an app. Prices are reasonable for pubs in the area. Service is often quick and friendly. Comfortable seating and often the areas are clean.
Was disappointed with our visit, we hadn’t booked but was given a table which hadn’t been cleared from previous customers, eventually it was cleared but wasn’t wiped so was dirty and sticky. We ordered our food both had sizzling hunters chicken when it arrived it certainly wasn’t sizzling it was Luke warm, I gave mine back which wasn’t a problem but meant my husband ate his first then mine came out 20 mins later after my husband had finished eating, they should have offered to take both away and re cook. When mine arrived I asked for some vinegar and was told yes over there help yourself , just a simple would you like me to get you some would have been more welcoming. We have been to the pub many times over the years and feel it has lost it’s clean and welcoming pub feel it once had.
Went for an evening meal with friends at this pub I frequented in my youth. Regular pub menu, I chose a chicken curry, but as the menu was going change in a week's time it was 'out of stock', so pre prepared and frozen then.....? I chose a steak instead, looked good but a bit overcooked, asked for medium rare, much was medium, but as we were with friends, who were paying, I said nothing. Everybody else seemed satisfied, so stay away from the steaks and you'll probably be fine. Drinks were fine and prices were reasonable overall. Will I go back? Perhaps, but not just yet.
Value for money. Dog friendly. Dog treats available. Nice patio garden. Friendly staff. Very accommodating. Plenty of seating. Generous portions. Gets the Buddy seal of approval. Definitely a rovers return pub. Big car park. Large menu choice.
Went round this cozy wee pub wae a few pals fur some cheeky wee New Year’s Eve drinks in the morning. atmosphere was spectacular and very homely, the bartender luke found from looking at the wall of employees was very helpful, kind and inviting to all of us. I highly recommend this pub as the it does everything a pub should do right
Have been coming here for a few years. The waitress Evia was very nice and professional. The food was good the chicken was nice and the pub was clean and a warm atmosphere
Had not booked, and was told they were expecting a big party in. They accommodated us, a table of 4. With no problem we had a lovely relaxing meal, staff were fantastic . Thank you.
Good pub, friendly atmosphere, reasonably priced beer with friendly staff. Good for sports as well with plenty of screens to watch. Not tried the restaurant facilities for years but it always smells good
First time here in many years and it was well worth the visit. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the food was superb. Will definitely be going back again.
Was disappointed with my starters of the tacos. Not a lot of filling in them and by the time I had wrapped the taco around the filling it was not even a spring roll!!! My mains were ok. I had the Jamaican stew that was really tasty but not a lot of it and the flat brad that came with it filled over half the plate. My husbands large mixed grill was ok but only came with about 5 chips. And as it is a sizzler plate the steak was over done by the time it got to the table. Maybe I expected more as we had a recommendation for this place. I didn’t complain at the time as my husband told me not to but I will not be back any time soon I’m afraid. Maybe it was just an off day but has put me off returning.
