Excellent park. Visit every summer from Birmingham, plus the drive is enjoyable on a bright, sunny, warm day. Loads to do with shopping in the town and play areas dotted around the park. Vast fields and places to sit and picnic along the river. There are also boats available to hire. Parking can be tricky but again, you don't have to wait too long. There is a toilet available which is quite dirty so beware.
What an amazing addition for children. We don't have anything like this where I'm from. Playground: Sandpit with water play Paddling pool Restrooms: On site toilet facilities
Lovely open space, very clean and lots to do, including boat trips, feeding the ducks, 2qlks round the river and many places to eat
Fabulous parkland area, picnic seating area, wealth of space to enjoy walking along the riverside, enjoying the views on the river, boating rowing, sightseeing on a canal boat or river cruise, bowling green, bandstand, riverside cafe restaurant, icecream vendors, cafe's or just having fun on the large park area. Playground: Large garden area across from the carpark..very child friendly with picnic bench etc..public facilities too. Large expansion of parkland to play games or just relax. Restrooms: Public facilities accessible for the disabled and changing for babies etc.. Dog-friendliness: A wide expanse of parkland for dog walking, bins located within the grounds for dog waste bags, dog bowls water located around the facilities too Picnic area: Several space to have a picnic on benches or just sitting on the parkland enjoying yourselves..
Went here yesterday as part of a day out in Stratford have to say the kids absolutely loved it. Was surprised how much was there for all different ages. Helpful with public toilets also right next to it also. The splash pool was absolutely brilliant the kids spent nearly an hour in there alone just jumping around and having fun. Highly recommended and alot of fun to try and tire the kids out.
One of the nicest parks the UK has to offer. A varied collection of trees and flowers with incredibly picturesque scenery. Sitting in this park on a warm summers day really makes you appreciate this country.
Lucy's Mill Weir has the best white water for Kayaking in Warwickshire!
Absolutely gorgeous park. Beautiful peaceful scenery and the weather was great too. A great day out. The big wheel was great to sit on and enjoy the views from above.
Nice and clean area with adequate parking and very nice places to go for walks
Visiting Stratford for the weekend with our 2 year old. We were so impressed with the amazing facilities at the Recreation Ground, especially the playgrounds and practice road complete with signs and traffic lights for little ones on vehicles!
